President Trump tweeted late Monday that Republicans should “just REPEAL” ObamaCare after two key Republican Senators announced they would not support the bill, ending any chance the bill had of passing the Senate.

Republican Senators Mike Lee, of Utah and Jerry Moran, of Kansas joined Senators Rand Paul, of Kentucky and Susan Collins of Maine. Republicans hold onto a 52-48 majority and the two senators’ opposition means the bill is effectively dead.

“Republicans should just REPEAL failing ObamaCare now & work on a new Healthcare Plan that will start from a clean slate. Dems will join in!” Trump tweeted.

Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., conceded late Monday that the drive to replace ObamaCare has failed and said he plans a repeal vote and two-year delay for a substitute.

"Regretfully, it's now apparent that the effort to repeal and immediately replace the failure of Obamacare will not be successful," McConnell said in a statement. "So, in the coming days, the Senate will vote to take up the House bill with the first amendment in order being what a majority of the Senate has already supported in 2015 and that was vetoed by then-President Obama: a repeal of Obamacare with a two-year delay to provide for a stable transition period to a patient-centered health care system that gives Americans access to quality, affordable care."

McConnell Obamacare repeal plan already taking fire from Republicans

Washington (CNN)Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell vowed to continue his party's efforts to pass health care legislation, this time with a plan to repeal Obamacare now and replace it later, but fellow Republicans are already balking at his proposal.

"We will now try a different way to bring the American people relief for Obamacare," McConnell said on the Senate floor Tuesday morning. "I believe we owe them at least that much. In the coming days, the Senate will take up and vote on a repeal of Obamacare combined with a stable two-year transition period as we work toward patient-centered health care."

How the Republican health care bill fell apart

Minutes after McConnell finished, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, a West Virginia Republican, announced her opposition to repeal only plan.

"My position on this issue is driven by its impact on West Virginians," she said in a statement. "With that in mind, I cannot vote to repeal Obamacare without a replacement plan that addresses my concerns and the needs of West Virginians."

Maine GOP Sen. Susan Collins is also against the measure, her office said.

The White House is backing McConnell's proposal.

President Trump and I full support Leader McConnell's decision," to pursue a clean repeal of the Affordable Care Act, Vice Presdient Mike Pence said in an address to the National Retail Federation.

"The Senate should vote to repeal now and replace later, or return to the legislation carefully crafted in the House and Senate, but either way— inaction is not an option. Congress needs to step up, Congress needs to do their job, and Congress needs to do their job now," said Pence to applause.

McConnell can only lose two senators' support in order to advance the legislation. Though a date for a vote has not yet been set,

Republican Sen. John McCain is expected to remain in Arizona to recover from surgery for at least the rest of this week.

The Republicans' campaign promise to repeal and replace Obamacare came to an abrupt halt Monday night after Sens. Mike Lee of Utah and Jerry Moran of Kansas vowed to vote against the latest draft of the GOP's health care bill, which would repeal and replace Obamacare. They joined two other Republican senators who had already rejected the proposal.

just repeal the darn thing already before nobody has insurance because the 99% of us
do not have the financial means to pay for the Obamacare crap!

Let's be honest here..... we don't need our corrupt bureaucrats to formulate a healthcare plan for us as we are perfectly capable to do our own plan specific to
our needs.

It's real simple, just get your greedy hands off our wallets and give it back to the
free market.
