California Bill Permits Licensing of Illegal Aliens in Over 35 New Professions

The liberal nuthouse of California is moving to grant professional licenses to illegal aliens in nearly forty new categories. The original foot in the door was the granting of law licenses to illegal alien law students, establishing the precedent that progressives needed to move “forward.”
Democrat State Senator Ricardo Lara is sponsoring a bill to permit those who do not have a social security number to be licensed as dentists, psychologists, nurses, pharmacists, real estate agents, barbers, security guards and roughly thirty other professions. Will they be exempted from paying income taxes as well?
That is a major step towards in-state amnesty.
The bill passed the Senate on Thursday and is headed to the State Assembly. Votes were along party lines, with Democrats supporting the measure and Republicans in opposition.
William Gheen, president of the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, described the bill and the vote, saying, “It’s insane. By granting licenses to illegal immigrants you both aid and abet illegal immigration, which is a violation of federal law, and you are sending a message to the rest of planet Earth that says, ‘Come on!’”
A spokesperson for the Federation of American Immigration Reform, FAIR, Ira Mehlman summarized the measure as, “California is doing everything in its power to blur any distinction between those who are legally present and those who are not.”
