Congress should go home and stay there. Members should get a real job, pay into Social Security and/or a retirement plan, and sign up for ObamaCare. In case they haven’t noticed, Congress is being replaced by boards, committees and executive orders. Members have forgotten their oath to support the Constitution. They are not putting our country first.

Congress did not pass cap and trade, but the Environmental Protection Agency is doing a fine job implementing regulations to eliminate the coal industry which provides jobs and 46 percent of our electricity.

Congress raised the debt ceiling by $1.2 billion to avoid a credit default. How’s that working out?

Congress did not pass Amnesty for Illegal Immigration. President Barack Obama recently changed the immigration laws without Congress to allow 300,000 illegal immigrants to work when our unemployment rate is over 9 percent.

Congress passed the Health Care Law which takes $575 billion out of Medicare. What about the Independent Payment Advisory Board which will cut the costs of Medicare? This board consists of 15 unelected members who will take power away from doctors and patients. Congress has to adopt this board’s recommendations or match the same spending targets. Here is the kicker — no judicial review of the board’s decisions is allowed. So much for checks and balances!

In my opinion, all senators and representatives need to be replaced with folks who will rein in debt, reduce the size of government, and cut regulations that are stifling the economy and private-sector job creation.
