Thread: Message from MMP on the ground (Jim Chase)

This is not my email. I was sent this from another MMP, who is right now "dictating" for Jim Chase. This being the case (i.e. Jim himself not sending the email), I am not sure of INet availability to the project as a whole (or I would have assumed he would have sent it himself).

However, as is read, much of the "hoax" and scare tactics which were being used, have now been shown to (hopefully) be just that, hoaxes and scare techniques.

Note, I am still a little concerned about this trip, and have talked in depth with my family about issues which I had always put off until "tomorrow".

I am hoping that MrsHusker will pick up and send some messages, if I do not have access to post. I am pretty sure my time will be really pushed. Talk is there will be 2 "shifts" of operations, so it is 12 hours on, 12 hours off. Since I am doing communcations work, my time on will probably be more than 12 hours.

JC just called for me the typist to give all an Update.

They are in Tombstone area.
All is VERY quiet.

Threat from Navarro: Ca Professor Armando Navarro and his group of rabble rousers have backed off according to inside watchers info. And too much of official (FBI) watchers. Also due to Navarro is now worried about his job at university. There have been many complaints after his statements were made public. YAY

ACLU Threat: ACLU has distanced them self fom Navarro due to his wild racist statements and due to about 30+ FBI watchers in the area. YAY

Border crossings : Down to the barest of trickles. They do NOT want to cross with all the publicity and high presence of authority and boder patrol. YAY

Just coincidence 1: Border Patrol in MMP operation area beefed up by 500 -- certainly NOT due to MMP efforts or presence. Yeah uh huh. YAY

Just coincidence 2: Army Core of Engineers just happened to show up to repair & rebuild parts of border fence in MMP operational area.

This puppy will go to the MSN forum called Free Speech. For those interested.. the people who run that place are very strongly against illegal aliens, but the bad guys come to make stupied statements.

I don't have sound so I don't know. But the audio clips link will also go to that forum. Might drum up some good business too.

Tom Tancredo to Keynote Minuteman Rally in Arizona

Washington, DC, March 30---Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) today announced that he
has acccepted an invitation from James Gilchrist to deliver the keynote address at the April 1 rally in Tombstone, Arizona to kick off the month-long Minutemen protest against our open borders.

"I am going to Tombstone on Friday to tell those good citizens they are
heroes, not 'vigilantes,' and that tens of millions of Americans are there with them in spirit," said Tancredo.

"The Minutemen are in Arizona as a kind of Neighborhood Watch program to help the Border Patrol spot illegal aliens as they enter our country. A year ago in the month of April, in only one month, over 64,000 illegal aliens were apprehended in the Tucson sector," Tancredo explained.

Tancredo says he plans to tell the Minutemen, "You are here to send a
message to Washington, DC. Poll after poll tells anyone who will listen that 80% of the American people want our borders secured against illegal entry. If the politicians can't read the polls, maybe they can read our lips:
"SECURE OUR BORDERS NOW!"

It warms my heart to see that America still has a pulse.

Godspeed to the Minutemen and politicians with guts and
commonsense like Rep. Tancredo.

To those who write a reply here that is encouraging or thankful to the Minuteman Project. Please add why you are thankful for Minuteman doing the JOB THAT GOVERNMENT WON'T DO.

I will gather the responses and send them on to encourage the ones who are doing this for all of us.

These people are taking off from jobs and family.

They are spending their own money.

They know they may well be in danger.

That is rough country with some pretty rough characters.

We even have people in their 70s who care enough for the USA that they are risking this kind of activity.

This is for GOD and definitely for our Country

To the MinuteMen (and women)
Thank you so much--these were my first words to Jim Gilchrist when I heard of the project--that you have the courage and the determination to make the outrage of the American people a tangible thing. NO ONE, not even the most blind deaf politician can deny your presence on the border. I'm sure, and I delight in that knowledge, that they are embarrassed right down to the ground. They're still fumbling around making any and every attempt to find words that will express their surprise and dismay that there are STILL Americans that will stand up in time of need. And this is definitely a time of need.

Because of YOU and the sacrifices that you're making we're finally getting national and international attention. The whole world will know, and further embarrass, this do-nothing congress. It will also put them on notice that 'we're mad as hell and we're not going to take it anymore'. Your stand engraves that in stone...for our congress to read and also for Vicente Fox and his cronies to read.

I think that from this step that you've taken many good things will flow.

So, once again...one and all...thank you very much from the bottom of my heart...and from the top of my mind...I pray for you every day...I ask God to bless you and give you strength. You're providing the spark that will unite thousands, galvanize a nation, for that thanks is not sufficient...but 'thanks'...a million times over.
