McCain ----- Defeat McCain You Defeat Amnesty

This presents another opportunity for us to hammer McCain and his support for amnesty otherwise known as a path to citizenship for those here illegally.

Shouldn't we call and e-mail his campaign en masse to let him know that he is like the incumbents losing because they all supported amnesty too? Also, he voted for TARP. Seems like this is a good counter press release opportunity to point this out in the media.

My instinct at this time is that we are going to have to do more to support Hayworth and tear down McCain or we will live to regret not acting in a more focused and determined manner. It just does not seem like there is much being done. All these other things we talk and e-mail about are interesting and a great way to vent steam but ultimately, in my best judgment, there is nothing that would be more beneficial to the anti-illegal immigration/amnesty effort than defeating Mr. Amnesty John McCain and replacing him with J.D. Hayworth.

Personally, I would not care if ALIPAC did nothing but work to support this campaign and shut down everything including the message boards except for use to promote Hayworth and defeat McCain. This is a six year sentance about to be handed down. If we don't get it done now I for one don't want to ever hear another whining word about McCain and whatever he does. It is now or never regarding him.

Does anyone here participate in the Hayworth campaign? Besides sending money to the campaign what can we do if we live in AZ and what can we do if we live outside of AZ?

McCain: I'm Different From Senators Who Lost
    Friday, 21 May 2010 09:12 PM

Arizona Sen. John McCain says primary voters sent a clear message this week that they're angry and frustrated.

The Republican is seeking his fifth term in the U.S. Senate and on Friday downplayed comparisons of his tough re-election battle to the campaigns of other longtime senators who recently lost their primaries.

He says the senators who lost were all defenders of earmarks — special federal funding set aside for specific, home-state projects.

McCain has long opposed earmarks, calling the process "pork-barrel" spending that leads to corruption.

McCain spoke after turning in petition signatures to qualify for the ballot.
Former conservative talk-radio host J.D. Hayworth, who also served in the U.S. House, is challenging McCain in the Aug. 24 primary.

McCain Hires New Campaign Manager After Shake-Up
    Friday, 21 May 2010 07:16 PM

Arizona Sen. John McCain has hired his former Senate chief of staff to be the new manager of his campaign.

The campaign announced Friday that Mark Buse would take over its top job.
McCain shook up his campaign last week, moving two senior operatives to an outside fundraising committee. Campaign spokesman Brian Rogers says neither was fired.

McCain is facing the toughest re-election battle of his Senate career and fending off a GOP primary challenge from former U.S. Rep. J.D. Hayworth.
Buse is an Arizona native who first worked for McCain as an intern in the 1980s when McCain was in the U.S. House.

I agree and as an Arizona resident who had voted for McCain twice I am not making that mistake a 3rd time. I don't like what has been going on these last few years in congress and I know a change is necessary. So why would I vote to put McCain back in office if I seek change. Why would we put anybody back in office if we want to see change. Do you like what you currently see in congress? For most of us, the answer is no, so why would we send them back?

I am voting for Hayworth for Senator this year because we need a change and we need to send a strong message to those not up for re-election that we are watching you and holding you accountable.

I can't wait until 2012 elections so I can help make a change in our executive branch. I know many people who voted for Obama that will not be doing it again.

I agree that Alipac members should be working to defeat McCain, and all other pro amnesty candidates where there is a real chance they might lose their election.

But the Hayworth - McCain battle should not be the sole focus. This site is attracting people who are fed up, and it helps them become engaged. Alipac announced 40 new members just this week. That is invaluable.
Take a stand or all there will be left to do is to ask the last person in the country we once called America to lower the flag one last time.

    DEFEAT MCCAIN

I AM 100% WITH YOU SOVEREIGN MAN. MCCAIN NEEDS TO BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE. HE PUSHED FOR AMNESTY. HE IS VERY PRO ILLEGAL ALIEN. I AM NOT AN ARIZONA RESIDENT SO I CAN NOT VOTE FOR J.D. HAYWORTH BUT I WILL CONTRIBUTE TO HIS CAMPAIGN AND DO WHATEVER ELSE I CAN TO HELP. IF, GOD FORBID, JUAN MCSHAMNESTY WINS THIS ELECTION, HE WILL DO EVERYTHING WITHIN HIS POWER TO PASS IMMIGRATION REFORM AND ENSURE AMNESTY FOR THE 11 TO 40 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS IN OUR COUNTRY AND ALLOW THEM TO BE REUNITED WITH THEIR FAMILIES BY ALLOWING THEM TO BRING THEIR FAMILIES TO AMERICA. ALL DEMOCRATS, ESPECIALLY THE PROGRESSIVE CAUCUS, MUST BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE IN 2010. SEEING THE ABOMINATION OF HALF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS GIVING CALDERON A STANDING OVATION FOR SPITTING IN THE EYE OF AMERICA, IS A CLEAR SIGN THAT THEY NEED TO GET OUT OF OUR HOUSES. THE PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS ARE ARROGANT. THEY INTEND TO LEGALIZE THE ILLEGALS AND OUTNUMBER US. THEY THINK THEY HAVE US BEAT. WE WILL SHOW THEM. AND IN 2012 GET THE LIAR OBAMA OUT OF OFFICE.

The United States Senate seat Republican Party Primary in Arizona is on August 24th. Unfortunately, McCain is out fundraising Hayworth in a major way. He is turning that money into TV and radio ads portraying himself as a border security advocate and Hayworth as a mean spirited loose cannon. There is only one way to prevent this from continuing and it starts with your checkbook. Would you contribute to a Memorial Day Money Bomb to support Hayworth's campaign? A flood of donations to the Hayworth campaign would be a major boost.

For those opposed to open borders and amnesty this is a national election. What can those of us who do not live in Arizona do to support the Hayworth campaign besides donate money to help those in Arizona fight the good fight?

I must admit being disappointed that there does not seem to be more interest, organization or effort being demonstrated about this race amongst anti-illegal immigration organizations and activists. This race presents a chance for the anti-open borders and illegal immigration movement to win a huge battle that would lead to winning the legislative war. This is our "Gettysburg" after which the outcome of this issue is more or less cast in stone whether you like it or not. The momentum that results from this race will be overwhelming for the other side to stop. If you are not willing to lay it all on the line here then when will you?

The recent Coats victory in IN is a bad omen because he is a Republican who has a history of supporting amnesty and guest worker programs as well as serving as a lobbyist for banks and TARP. His victory despite that personal history allows the other amnesty and guest worker supporting Republican Senator in IN to stay on board. That was a two for one deal and we lost big time. A lot of other Republicans who are likely primary winners are code wording the issue. They are for border security and against amnesty. But they are for guest worker programs and in some cases a path to citizenship. Let's be realist here, “guest worker programâ€

Marquis your post makes my day. Even so the fundraising issue and the polls have me worried sick over this race because of how critical it really is.

I fully appreciate what you are saying about Hayworth and that some people will have to stomach one for the team in order to vote for him. Hopefully others will do the same as you. For what it is worth I do not think Hayworth will carry much influence to move issues unlike McCain who will be able to muster all the power needed to move Amnesty.

Is Arizona an open primary state or will Democrats wanting to vote against McCain have to re-register as Republicans? If that is the case what is the deadline to do so?

To vote in the primary one has to be registered prior to midnight July 26th.

To vote in the Republican Primary one will have to be Registered as a Republican.

“Republican primaries have been open to unaffiliated voters, but in January, when Hayworth's candidacy was still embryonic, the state party opted for a closed primary, on the sound principle that party members -- there are 1.12 million registered -- should pick those who represent the party.â€
