Mexico Angry, Tillerson and Kelly Sent to Say "Chill"

Mexico Angry, Tillerson and Kelly Sent to Say "Chill"

    by John Gibson

    February 23, 2017

Deportation Hysteria Syndrome is now upon us. Today the New York Times reports illegals are hiding indoors, afraid of going out for a gallon of milk in case the deportation troopers are stalking the streets looking for the next family to break up.

Since the Trump deportation orders declare the priority will be illegals who have committed crimes or pillaged the public welfare system, the NYT reporters must have been speaking with illegals who are both felons and welfare cheats.

This comes on the same day Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly meet with the President of Mexico, along with the Mexican Foreign Minister.

Minister Luis Videgary spoke to reporters yesterday in advance of the meeting, and promised a tough line with the American envoys.

I want to make clear, in the most emphatic way, that the government of Mexico and the Mexican people do not have to accept measures that, in a unilateral way, one government wants to impose on another,” Videgary said.

It should be obvious Videgary was speaking of the new deportation guidelines issued this week by the Trump administration, through Secretary Kelly.

Minister Videgary said his country would go to the United Nations to defend the rights of immigrants. “We are not going to accept it because we don’t have to accept it and because it is not in the interests of Mexico,” he said.

Well, yeah, Mexico does have to accept it.

There are just under a million illegal immigrants in the U.S. who are either deportation orders or have been convicted, charged or held responsible in crimes who are subject to deportation under the Trump guidelines. As those people are not in the country legally they have no right to demand to stay and the Mexican government knows it.

Mexico may not want those million criminals back, but it really has nothing to say about it.

Another aspect of the new Trump guidelines is that Mexico will find itself with people who were illegally in the United States but are not from Mexico. They brazenly passed through Mexico on the way to an illegal crossing into the U.S.

The government of Mexico actually facilitates those migrants. They have been caught red handed funneling the migrants from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador across Mexico to the doorstep of the United States.

In reality, those migrants are the responsibility of Mexico, not the United States.

Tillerson and Kelly might remind Minister Videgary of his declaration that no nation should have to accept the unilateral conditions imposed on it by another nation.

That is precisely what Mexico has been doing to the United States as it dumps economic refugees on the U.S., and helps move northward thousands from its neighbors to the south.
At the dawning of a new relationship between the U.S. and Mexico, here’s what we are going to see. A million criminal illegals are going home to Mexico. Even more illegals who are not Mexicans will be back in Mexico for a trip south to their own countries of origin.

Mexico may not like it. But there it is.

Democrats may not like it, but the Trump orders are only enforcing law they passed.

Tillerson and Kelly know the Mexican government has a weak hand and the public posturing is just about saving face. But while they fume, both the Democrats and the Mexican government could show a little gratitude. After all, the Trump orders on deportation specifically exempted the Dreamers.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Well, that is encouraging - hope the admin does not acquiesce to their demands to be diplomatic.
