Mexico Preps Emergency Financial Plan for Trump Victory

The Mexican government has been preparing a financial contingency plan should Donald J. Trump win on November 8.
Mexico’s economy has seen some fluctuation connected to the U.S. elections as the possibility of a Trump victory escalates, said Agustin Carstens during a broadcasted conference as the Governor of Mexico’s National Bank.

Cartsens has been outspoken against Trump in the past, claiming that his victory would be akin to a hurricane with respect to the financial instability that it would presumably bring to Mexico.

According to Mexico’s El Economista, Carstens claimed that regardless of who wins the U.S. elections, Mexico could see a period of volatility.

“Without a doubt, the adverse scenario presents itself,” Carstens told El Economista.

Carstens has been in talks with Mexico’s Mexico’s Secretary of Finance in order to prepare a contingency plan, yet the details of the plan have not been disclosed.

“Regardless of the results there will be consequences, I hope they are positive but they could be negative and in such case we would have to adjust our policies if needed,” El Economista quoted Carstens.

Carstens took control of the Bank of Mexico in 2010, prior to that he was the Secretary of Finance. The Mexican economist has overseen the nosedive of the Mexican currency from roughly $10 Pesos per U.S. Dollar in 2006 when he assumed his role as Secretary to the current level of $19.55 Pesos per U.S. Dollar.

Read that the Mex. peso had rebounded a little from it's "Trump worries." Hope Trump gets in and the peso goes from 19 to 24!!

Now they might actually have to count on their own country making money instead of sucking off the USA. They are more or less a welfare country counting on the USA to support their country. Pretty bad when a country has to depend on another country to support their country.

I would like to see hundreds of busses full of their illegals lined up at the border and they are all walked right back across it

I would like to see our Military on the border where each and every illegal is turned right back around...no detention, no happy meal, back they go!

    Get ready...cuz here they come!!!

Everyone talks about how poor Mexico is; and especially likes to blame NAFTA, although from what I understand those border area 'corn farmers' may be more recent emigres into that area. There is not a whole lot of evidence of historical settlement in the border area, like there is in the Santa Fe NM area. And people were draw to that area as the US cities developed, and later via the maquiladora industries. The latter relocated to Central America, but the workers did not follow; so I suppose the ones that didn't move northward might have started agricultural concerns? Or some of the earlier settlers did, as well.

But...there is a huge tourism industry and lots of native Mexicans making very well thank you from development. Now many of the RE guides say you can't even afford Mexico, so move to Panama or Nicaragua! And Panama city is a fantastically prosperous place. And Mexico has purposely limited foreign holdings of property---and has historic cities. If someone is poor there it could be due to a lot of things, besides lack of opportunity!
