Winston-Salem Journal's Account of Serial Rapist

Below is the article written by Patrick Wilson for the Winston-Salem Journal about the story ALIPAC broke LAST NIGHT! It can be found at www.journalnow.com

Man charged with rape was deported twice
    By Patrick Wilson
    JOURNAL REPORTER
    Wednesday, November 9, 2005

A Winston-Salem man charged in connection with a series of rapes in Winston-Salem and Greensboro had been deported to Mexico twice, but he returned to the United States, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said yesterday.

Gilberto Cruz-Hernandez, 24, is being held in the Forsyth County Jail with bond set at $2 million. Immigration agents have a detainer on him, which is a legal device used to hold someone accused of breaking immigration laws.

He will be deported again if he is released after serving any sentence he receives for the criminal charges, which include five counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, one count of sexual offense and related burglary charges.

Police arrested Cruz-Hernandez in Winston-Salem on Oct. 28 after DNA evidence tested at the state's crime labs linked him to a series of rapes that happened in February in Winston-Salem, a police statement said. A few days later, he was charged in connection with three sexual-assault cases that occurred in Greensboro in May 2004 and January and February 2005.

In most of the cases, the attacker's face was covered, and he threatened women with a gun as he attacked them in their apartments and houses, investigators said.

Cruz-Hernandez was arrested by federal immigration agents in Greenwood, S.C., in April 1997 and deported to Mexico, ICE said. He was arrested again by border-patrol agents in Douglas, Ariz., in October 2002 and again deported to Mexico.

In Winston-Salem, Cruz-Hernandez was living at 385 Camden Ridge Drive.

Tax records show that he and a woman have owned that house since February 2004.

I wasn't sure whether to start a new topic or add this to the thread that we already are using about this MONSTER. If anyone wants to move it, feel free!

Another interesting little tidbit in Mr. Wilson's article is this man and "his woman" OWNED A HOME in Winston-Salem. Now, tell me HOW this CRIMINAL, who had been deported not once but TWICE, could BUY A HOUSE???? This is just another slap in the face of American citizens who STRUGGLE to buy THEIR OWN HOMES.

As you might be able to tell--I AM STEAMED about this ANIMAL. And, I honestly believe that I can justify calling him an "ANIMAL". This is NO HUMAN and he is certainly NO MAN.

Great work Bootsie...getting the bottom of what we already believed was the case.

He is worse than an animal. He is a human predator, the most dangerous of all predators.

I'm waiting for the name of the woman, her legal status and whether or not she needs to be deported or prosecuted for aiding and abetting an illegal predator to harm Americans.

SURELY to goodness they are investigating his WOMAN too. I still am just blown away that THEY have bought this house last year. My son said he saw a segment on the local news after this man was arrested and he said this woman and some other man were standing outside this two or three hundred thousand dollar-looking home. That was before he knew this was my CAUSE so he didn't pay that much attention but you KNOW this man had to be making money doing something other than working that job that was listed in one of the articles. He had to be a drug smuggler or some such.

Man charged with rapes faces new charges in High Point

    From Staff Reports
A man charged with a series of rapes in the Triad now faces similar charges in High Point, police reported today.

Gilberto Cruz Hernandez, 24, was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree burglary, first-degree kidnapping and two counts of first-degree sexual offense, according to High Point police.

That followed the State Bureau of Investigation reporting to High Point detective Kevin Ray on Oct. 31 that a DNA match had been made linking Hernandez to a reported rape Feb. 10 in the north section of High Point, police said.

According to police, the attacks in the Triad date to May 2004, when a Greensboro woman was raped in her Brice Street home. More attacks happened this year in the city and in Winston-Salem, police have said.

Hernandez had been placed in the Forsyth County jail under a $2 million bond.

Here is one case where a guy ought to get the death penalty then carry it out almost immediately. Too bad he didn't resist so they could shoot him and put the world out of his misery.

I agree that the woman he was living with ought to be investigated. If she is an American citizen, she should be arrested for aiding a criminal. She has to know he is an illegal. If she isn't, she should be deported but I hope someone beats her up before she gets sent home and the cops just turn their backs while it happens.

The bank, if they loaned him money to buy a house, ought to be fined. And if he bought the house outright, then the real estate company that was obliged to ask him where he got the money ought to be investigated and they should lose their real estate licence.

It is disturbing to know that these people keep coming back over and over again until they succeed. It is disturbing to know that we have a government that won't bother to build a fence on the border and man it with soldiers to keep these people out of our country.

This is a series of crimes that should never have happened and wouldn't have happened if our borders were protected. It makes me sick!

I am a financial supporter of this organization and I stand by my description of the scum that are invading this country as [mod edit] because that's what they are. Anyone who breaks the laws of this country will fit this description including this loser who I originally described as such only to have my post edited, then locked....i.e. "Free Republic"ed.

    ifcdirector,

I locked your thread because there was some uncertainty at the time whether or not this person was an illegal immigrant, and the discussion was primarily focusing on that topic. In my opinion it wasn't going anywhere relevant, and Bootsie started a new thread that was devoted to finding out the immigration status of the person in question that was more productive. We really didn't need two different discussions. Also William the owner of Alipac clearly explained that articles should indicate a criminal's immigration status before being posted on the forum. He also issued a warning about the choice of words being used in the discussion, which you are openly defying after being warned. You're fate is now in the hands of the owner of the forum.
