Because their own career aspirations are more important than fixing our country.
There's a movie based on a true story called Remember The Titans. It's a movie about teamwork, it's a movie about winning and losing, it's about sacrificing your spot on the field and going to the bench so a better player takes your spot to win the state championship, it's about coaches and supporting the right person for the job at the right time even when it means sacrificing your own spot in the Hall of Fame. It's about many of the same good and evil issues, we're dealing with now in the 2016 Presidential Race to save our nation.
This young team of high school students while dealing with all types of social and political issues of the times, won because they put winning the end game ahead of their own personal aspirations. It would be nice to see the players of the Political Season of the Republican Party deploy this type of character, the same type of character we expect of our people in all walks of life every day, including the military.
It would be a wonderful thing to see politicians do the right thing, give their donors their money back, stop the battles, end the infighting, take one for our country, and withdraw, so we can all be all-in now to win the decisive battle in November to elect a President we all know can and will win the war to fix our country, save our nation and bring peace on earth.
Anyone who thinks asking Republican candidates to withdraw from a race they can't and shouldn't win is not a fantasy, it's doing the right thing for our country and citizens.
The suggestion is now out there. We'll see how many have the character to act on it.
