Note lures immigrant to her arrest
Well maybe the outcry from everyone may be doing a little good.
We have seen several such deportations as this in the last month!
Note lures immigrant to her arrest
When a lawyer for Estephanie Izaquirre, a parentless teenager from Honduras, received an e-mail from an immigration official in Des Moines saying the girl should come downtown and "complete the paperwork" Thursday, she thought that meant she was about to get her green card. Instead, a deportation officer arrested Izaquirre, five days after she graduated from East High School in Des Moines. "This was just calculated as hell, and it's hugely problematic," the lawyer, Jim Benzoni, said. "Immigration services is using false inducements to get people in there. If our clients are supposed to be telling the truth, why is the government not required to do the same?" The tactic is being used increasingly throughout the United States, especially within the last six months, to reduce the number of people who stay in the country despite a deportation order, said Amy Peck, an Omaha lawyer who is the national chairwoman of the liaison committee between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Wasn't her unlawful stay in the US and public education calculated as hell? Talk about a hypocrite!

In Reply to Hobo: We need to see MANY more stories of these 'random acts of law enforcement'.

Let me cry a few crocodile tears and then just say - I have no problem with using "false inducements" to catch these lawbreakers - whatever it takes to nail em all, one by one. We need to see MANY more stories of these 'random acts of law enforcement'.

"complete the paperwork" the old saying damned if you don't damned if you do. Senora Izaquirre lied and schemed her way into this country, has a diploma ( at the taxpayers expense and now gets a free flight home from her little vacation in the U.S. WHAT MORE DOES SHE WANT?

I have always thought that would be a very good way to catch illegals.
Also, they could have arrested thousands and thousands when these people were lining up around the blocks to get their Matricula Card.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I wonder why they singled her out?? It is almost a joke.
I could take INS to the Quick Trip around the corner at 5:30 AM and they could arrest about 30 illegal, undeducated, working for cash, day laborers.
An they could get a new batch every hour until noon. Then thy could arrest more as they got dropped off in the evening.
One location would net about 200 of them.
They could track a few of them to the construction sites that hire them, and they could get several hundred more and the employers that hire them.I'm "Dot" and I am LEGAL!

While I agree it was a smart thing to do - why just one and why her - and how did the media get on it.
The government, not just this one, but for decades has used the media to scam us.
Americans scream for welfare to be fixed and they choose the most deserving of welfare they can find and boot them off - and call the media.
We talk about immigration - they shut the border between us and Canada on a Canadian holiday when many come across the border to shop in America. That way they can hurt Americans - hoping Americans will back down.
Smoke and mirrors - and very insulting to the American people.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

The Des Moines Register had this on the top of the front page. For those of you that don't know, the DM Reg. is pro-illegal. They've tried to invoke sympathy from people before and this is just another attempt to do the same thing.
