Admiral Samuel Locklear, naval commander of the Pacific, believes climate change is a bigger threat to U.S. security in the Pacific region than North Korea. While TV shows us Asian countries being flooded by hurricanes, the Pacific fleet is delivering disaster relief. If you saw TV footage of water pouring into Manhattan subways after Hurricane Sandy, you know why thousands of people in low-lying Bangladesh flee to other countries.

Human Rights Watch says repeated mass migration after catastrophic weather events resulted in more than 900 Bangladesh refugees being shot at the border by Indian security forces. We have a problem on the Mexico border, but wait until Central American countries are flooded by storm surges caused by rising sea levels.
