    Need some help and advice

I dont want this to sound crazy but Ive thought about running for office here on Long Island. I guess Im just so frustrated with whats going on that I want to get involved and put a stop to it as Im sure a lot of people here would. I dont know.Is it so far fetched that maybe some real Americans started taking places in government?? I wouldnt know where to start. So does anyone know the steps you have to go through to run for state or federal office???

I think if you send JP48504 a personal message, he is knowledgeable about that. LI-Rob, some "real Americans" sounds like just what this country needs. Good luck.

LI Rob, it's funny, I had that same thought yesterday. I'm fed up enough to fight for a position to make a difference.

The "filing deadline for primary ballot access" in New York State for US Senate and US House candidates is July 13. The "independent [candidate] filing deadline for [the] general election" in New York State for US Senate and US House candidates is August 22.

I know nothing about how to run for public offices, maybe you could contact Tancredo, for some kind of advice on this? I say go for it though, if you win, don't forget your constituents who put you in office as our other fair haired politicians have.Good Luck.
