    My competitors keep hiring illegals!

    My competitors keep hiring illegals!

The owner of a floor-covering store is frustrated that his competitors are cutting costs by hiring illegal immigrants.

(FSB Magazine) -- Dear FSB: I have the same problem you mentioned in "Blowing the Whistle on Illegals." I own a floor-covering store, and a competitor has taken a lot of business from me because he hires illegal immigrants and can do everything cheaper. What can I do to stop this? --Name withheld, Georgia

Dear Georgia: If you don't plan to sue your rival, as the entrepreneur in our story did, you can report him to the feds.

The president of Golden State Fence in Riverside, Calif., just got sentenced to probation for knowingly hiring illegal immigrants. Send a letter to the Special Agent in Charge of your regional Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office (ice.gov).

ICE spokeswoman Pat Reilly says the agency has never heard of any tipster being sued by someone he turned in for hiring illegals. But if you are worried that your identity may become known, call ICE's anonymous toll-free hotline at 866-347-2423.

He needs to advertise that his employees are eligible to work in the US or are citizens.

There is a lawyer who sues companies that hire illegals to undercut their competitors. It was posted over at SOS a while back, I don't have the details.

First turn in your competition to ICE AND the IRS cause chances are he's not doing his taxes right.

then advertise that you are legally and adhere to the laws of this country. If your competition isn't willing to follow the basic labor laws, how well will he treat his customers?

That's David Klehm - he is the attorney that is helping a LEGAL immigrant from Central America sue the city of San Francisco (to enforce immigration law).

I hope this link works... :

I believe he has also taken on suits related unfair trade practices (representing business suing other businesses that use illegal workers)

    Go get 'em David.

THAT'S HOW I LOST MY BUSINESS IN NJ LAST YEAR, I LOST MY SHIRT .
i could not compete against a larger similar business that undercut me with low prices, because he pays low wages to illegals

Don't people have to be bonded to be sent out to customers homes or am I just being naive?

I know there is no way an illegal can get bonded....is there?
