We won in committee today against the Mexican Consulate. HB 33 passed in the Judiciary committee 7-4 and now will go before the entire NC House.

All well and good but what I find really disturbing

WHY ON EARTH SHOULD THE MEXICAN CONSUL HAVE ANY VOICE AT ALL?

This is part of the problem , A rep of a foreign govt having a voice in
    domestic policy is nuts.

Mike Huckabee is a good study on this subject - he is an expert on it.

He opened the floodgates for the consulates across the country, and each state has made the exact same mistakes Huckabee allowed in Arkansas.

Now he wants to be your president.

If they do, it should ONLY be at the federal level and regulated by the foreign agency rules already in place.

We have had "honorary consular officers" (whatever that means) speak and even propose ordinances to our city government. Where in diplomatic protocol does something like that come in?
