GOP Rep McCaul: Senate Should End Filibuster for Immigration ‘to Protect the American People’

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” House Homeland Security Committee chairman Rep. Mike McCaul (R-TX) said the Senate should end the filibuster rule requiring 60 votes to close debate for immigration reform “to protect the American people.”
McCaul said, “I would argue this is national security at stake. Securing our border, the threats I can tell you, not only drug cartels, opioids, but also the terrorists.”
He added, “We stop ten terrorists every day from getting into this country. I look at it from a national security standpoint. It should be a bipartisan issue, but if not, the Senate has that traditional rule I think they should wave it in this case on the basis of national security to protect the American people.”

Where is CDC on stopping the diseases? The TB, AIDS, viral infections, bed bugs, skin diseases!

I have to wonder what viruses we might be getting. I have had some flu-like symptoms for almost a month now that seems to go away and then comes back. In 2007, I walked past an illegal on a job site who happened to sneeze right then. Later I developed a chronic cough that took about four trips to an actual MD before I could stop it. Never had anything like that before. The last MD said I had some kind of clear mucus on my larynx, and he had not seen anything like that. Antibiotics cleared it up.

Both of these have been different than what I have experienced in the past---although our area does produce a lot of allergens that have weird effects, too. So who knows what mutations of certain diseases we are being exposed to.

Remember when Obama bussed THOUSANDS all over America in the middle of the night? Those children were place in schools and OUR kids got viral infections. Some died.

We are getting TB from the refugees being dumped on our backs and the illegals.

I agree. Ending the filibuster would eventually bite us in the butt. It wouldn't be a matter of if, it would be when.
