And he says Hispanics will basically be in charge of media, government, science, music and just about everything else that you and I see today in our image will be in their image tommorrow. This is the cost to a nation to not expect new immigrants to assimilate to their culture, and then let that group grow larger than the host country's culture-loss of the host' culture's country and nation. This is TOTALLY unjust and IMMORAL to allow for this to continue to happen.

Gee, does he somehow think he will be immune from harm future-tense if he chooses to hate his own ethnic group and bows down in homage to those who wish to take away everything from us?

Is America becoming a Hispanic country?

(CNN) -- The United States is becoming an Hispanic country. And it's happening much faster than anyone expected.

According to an analysis of newly released 2010 U.S. Census data by the Pew Hispanic Center, the Hispanic population in the United States is growing more quickly and more dramatically than demographers had estimated.

In the 33 states for which data has been released so far, there are almost 600,000 more Hispanics than previously thought. Twenty-eight states had more Hispanics than expected. And, while the current count is 38.7 million Hispanics, there is still data coming from 17 states, making it likely that the final figure could surpass 55 million, or 17% of the U.S. population.

What is really interesting is that this "Hispanicization" of America is most noticeable in states that are not typically thought of as being places where Hispanics live.

The real story isn't what's happening in Texas, California, Florida or New York, which have long been home to significant numbers of Hispanics. It's about the demographic changes in states such as Alabama, Louisiana, Kansas and Maryland, where Hispanics are a relatively new commodity -- and the accommodations that have to be made between new arrivals and longtime residents.

One day soon, Hispanics will help define the worlds of media, politics, commerce, fashion, music, entertainment, sports and science. There will be no turning back.

But you knew that already. Maybe your first hint was the Latina models on magazine covers. Or that salsa is more popular than ketchup. Or the Spanish-language billboards you see on rural highways. Or that some members of Congress gather weekly for Spanish lessons.

Or maybe you figured out that the Hispanic population in the United States was exploding when you saw the quixotic efforts of some to stop the trend by cracking down on illegal immigration and -- for an encore -- trying to limit legal immigration as well.

Most immigrants to the United States, legal and illegal, come from Mexico and the rest of Latin America. But in states such as Arizona, Texas, Colorado and New Mexico, you also have Hispanic families that can trace their American roots back hundreds of years.

Still, for many Americans, changing demographics isn't cause for celebration. Rather, it's cause for alarm. It brings a sense of fear, anxiety and desperation. They know enough to know that the country in which they grew up is changing, and they'll do whatever they can to reverse those changes and return the cultural landscape to what it used to be.

In fact, Hispanics have become so accustomed to this sort of reaction that I know many of them who actually dread the census and all the related media coverage. Every 10 years, there is the possibility of a backlash. For Hispanics, being counted is a mixed bag. They gain numbers and prominence, but they also have to contend with resistance and hostility from those who feel threatened.

This partly explains what happened in Arizona, where a surging Hispanic population so panicked the state's residents that they began pushing lawmakers to pass immigration-related bills aimed at making the state less hospitable to illegal immigrants. This wasn't about reaffirming the rule of law. It was about returning Arizona to what it looked like 50 or 60 years ago, when the number of Hispanics in the state was much smaller than it is now.

It seems to have worked. The analysis of census data done by the Hispanic Pew Center shows that in Arizona, the number of Hispanics came in at 1.9 million, or 180,000 fewer than expected.

But many of those immigrants had simply moved on to other states. This approach would not be much of a national strategy; besides, who is to say that many of those people won't return to Arizona when the economy improves or some of these excessively punitive laws are dismantled.

Ultimately, you can't fight demographics. Hispanics are already here, and most of them aren't going anywhere. Instead of wishing otherwise, Americans would be better off accepting this new reality. While they're at it, they should acknowledge the positive impact to their communities and their country of having a growing population of people who are, by nature, conservative, hardworking, optimistic, patriotic and entrepreneurial. Hispanics aren't a threat to the United States; they're an essential component.

Visit any military cemetery in the United States and count the Spanish surnames. You'll see that Hispanics have already contributed so much to this country. And, in the decades to come, they and their children stand ready to contribute so much more -- if we put aside our prejudice and let them. That's the path to a better country.

Gang bangers , drug dealers , drunk drivers, welfare cheats, document thieves , criminals , living 5 families to a middle class home , loud mariachi music all night , graffiti , uneducated

Patriotic? yes they are , to mexico

conservative? This is a joke , right?

Bottom line , they don't even hide the fact that they are here and more are coming and their purpose is to take over and make this a hispanic country

Latino community would be cut to a fraction if immigration laws were put into actual practice. To deport those who are here illegally along with their so called anchor babies. By removing them the others will also migrate back since their families are on the other side of the fence and they cannot send money to them. Yes the illegals are worried as the new immigration bills being introduced coast to coast are chipping away at the wall that has prevented law enforcement fromremoving the illegals from this nation. While some bills have not passed..others have. While the ones that did not pass are set aside...new ones are following them up. While some politicians say they want tougher immigration laws yet when time to vote they lack the backbone to vote for AMERICA and instead vote for mexico. Those politicians need to be removed, replaced with persons who will listent, act on, and have the best interests of our nation as foremost. To protect AMERICAN jobs and to help to insure those jobs go to LEGAL AMERICANS and not to illegals who lie and cheat their way into this country. Illegals who bring with them gangs, drugs, increased crime rates. We the people have an obligation to elect only those persons who are committed to law enforcement, job protection, air tight borders, and the deportation of all persons of all races who are here illegally.

I read that article yesterday and it is poorly written and shows Navarette's ignorance to certain Hispanic groups . Navarette lumps all Hispanics together as if they all belong to one cohesive culture. The reality of that is there various Hispanic cultures in the U.S. and in some of those cultures there is a lot of opposition to illegal immigration. To start off many Hispanics who have histories of 7 or more generations in the U.S are opposed and fed up with illegal immigration. Some of these people don't speak Spanish or even care to learn. The Hispanic surnames that he mentions being in cemeteries were likely people whose complete allegiance was to the United States.

Navarette's prediction " One day soon, Hispanics will help define the worlds of media, politics, commerce, fashion, music, entertainment, sports and science. There will be no turning back. "

That prediction will never completely come true. Hispanics may have more influence in politics but that future influence could from Hispanic politicians who are against illegal immigration. They are many conservative Hispanics who hate illegal immigration, affirmative action and similar issues. As for entertainment and music, Hispanics will never a big influence or help define those worlds. The entertainment business is always going to be dominated by whites. Many minority TV and movie viewers could care less if movies or TV shows feature minority characters. I'm Hispanic and honestly I find most well known Hispanic actors/actresses to be very mediocre. Latin music is only popular with illegals or Hispanic families who haven't been in the country that long.

I'm half Hispanic too-me and most members of that side of the family do not speak Spanish and would never dream of "taking over", and 100% of my family on both sides is loyal to this country first. If we get into a race war the nightmare will be that the white side of the family could be targeted because they are white, and the latino side could possibly face "friendly fire" from the American side not realizing they are the good guys and also be targeted from the latino side because they are American patriots. :( God help us all and do not grant these wicked people their desire to leave us without a homeland!

This demographic change is due primarily to the prolific Hispanic birthrate in our country; primarily paid for the U.S. taxpayer. Ending birthright citizenship needs to be a top priority, asap.

That is because we have far too many illegal aliens from one ethnic group and they come from a culture with a tribal mentality.

At least MY family is united with the United States! 8)
They are not loyal to Spain or the "Spanish Empire"
They don't call themselves "la raza" (the race) or consider themselves ethnically superior to others. Only those in their 80's still speak Spanish and they would never expect to force everyone else to, let alone replace the U.S. culture with Latin culture. They don't ascribe to the sick agenda to "breed out" whites or any other ethnic group. And they fly the U.S. flag alone! And if something ever happens to them that is race-related by whites, I will actually blame the "reconquista" Latinos for what happened.
I myself was raised in the "W.A.S.P." culture and can actually pass for 100% "Anglo" (maybe the fact that the Spanish side of the fam is mostly of Euro stock and none of us look anything like the typical "meztizo", they look like people in Argentina instead) and have suffered as a white because the only thing "Spanish" about me culturally is that I was eating black beans and plantain chips long before the mainstream made them extremely popular. But I think patriots of all races should be respected and protected in case of a war. I don't speak Spanish and don't care to learn, I have been brought up "Anglo" and see myself as that, and I am loyal to the U.S. alone.

Good point there. Many loyal American Hispanics actually wait to have children after they obtain educations or establish themselves well financially. Illegals need to pop out babies as a method of staying in this country.

I also sometimes fear race wars like you mention but take some comfort and hope from these facts; many of us here on ALIPAC and other anti-illegal organizations know that there many people of different racial/ethnic and religious backgrounds are against illegal immigration. Here on ALIPAC there are Hispanics that post here as well blacks, Asians and I do remember several legal immigrants from European countries posting here. Many Minuteman chapters have members of different races.

Race wars are already going on to smaller extent in some areas in regards to employement, education and safety. Good and loyal Americans of Hispanic descent are often caught in the crossfire. White supremacist groups would be the ones to use friendly fire on loyal Americans of Hispanic descent if illegals and their supporters managed to start race.

The progressive agenda continues to be "pit one race against each other". It is disgusting.

Mexican is a nationality, not a race.

Hispanic in the states is, most of the time, the same as anglo. All mixed up with many of the same heritage in different mixtures. I believe that Hispanic is becoming a political tool, not a heritage. It is not about being of Hispanic heritage it is about being an illegal foreign national that is not entitled to the public treasury. JMO

Yes-and the Spanish language as well is being used as a political tool.

At least my family is all here legally and they neither bred "anchor babies" nor bred out of control, and none were ever on welfare, either. I myself am old-fashioned and single, and won't breed at all until I get a hubby. :lol:
