NEW BOMBSHELL: IRS EMAIL, “Tea Party Matter Is Very Dangerous”

NEW BOMBSHELL: IRS EMAIL, “Tea Party Matter Is Very Dangerous”

Try as they might, the Obama administration cannot escape the IRS scandal. Newly unearthed emails, which were discovered by the House Ways and Means Committee between Lois Lerner, former Director of Exempt Organizations, and her staff seem to give warrant to those who believe the IRS has been covering up their operation to bust conservative organizations.
According to the Wall Street Journal, “In a February 2011 email, Ms. Lerner advised her staff—including then Exempt Organizations Technical Manager Michael Seto and then Rulings and Agreements director Holly Paz—that a Tea Party matter isvery dangerous,” and is something “Counsel and [Lerner adviser] Judy Kindell need to be in on.” Ms. Lerner adds, “Cincy should probably NOT have these cases.”
When under fire in May the IRS attempted to place blame on two singular employees out of Ohio. When subpoenaed by Congressman Issa (R-CA) to testify before Congress Lerner took the Fifth. However, not before she claimed, ”I have not done anything wrong. I have not broken any laws. I have not violated any IRS rules or regulations.” By claiming that she had done nothing wrong and then taking the fifth Lerner may have waived her right to plead the fifth. The House committee passed a resolution, which declared she gave up that right. Judge Napolitano previously weighed in on Lerner’s opening statement saying that she had put herself in a position to waive her Fifth Amendment rights because she volunteered to say that she had done nothing wrong, broke no federal laws, or violated IRS regulations before she stated she wanted to invoke her Fifth Amendment rights. Napolitano says that if she refuses to answer any questions on those three subjects then she could go jail. Furthermore, that she is not allowed to tell her side of the story and then refuse to answer any other questions by invoking the Fifth.

With the most recent news from the House committee it has become evident that Lois Lerner has in fact been targeting conservative groups through the IRS.

Report: IRS Employees Were “Acutely” Aware Obama Wanted Them To Crack Down On Conservative Groups…

Another bombshell that will go largely unreported by the MSM.
    Via Washington Times:
IRS employees were “acutely” aware in 2010 that President Obama wanted to crack down on conservative organizations and were egged into targeting tea party groups by press reports mocking the emerging movement, according to an interim report being circulated Tuesday by House investigators.
The report, by staffers for Rep. Darrell E. Issa, California Republican and chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, quoted two Internal Revenue Service officials saying the tea party applications were singled out in the targeting program that has the agency under investigation because “they were likely to attract media attention.”
In the report, the investigators do not find evidence that IRS employees received orders from politicians to target the tea party, and agency officials deny overt bias or political motives.
But the report says the IRS was at least taking cues from political leaders and designed special policies to review tea party applications, including dispatching some of them to Washington to be vetted by headquarters.
“As prominent politicians publicly urged the IRS to take action on tax-exempt groups engaged in legal campaign intervention activities, the IRS treated tea party applications differently,” the staff report concludes. “Applications filed by tea party groups were identified and grouped due to media attention surrounding the existence of the tea party in general.”
That finding contradicts Democrats on Capitol Hill, who argue that some liberal groups also were given special scrutiny, thus showing there was neither a witch hunt for conservatives nor political pressure from the White House.
