Dear President Obama:

How can you say that you will push for comprehensive immigration reform? We both know that this means amnesty!

There are more than 12 million unemployed Americans. This means that more than 8% of Americans who want a job are unable to find one. I would like to think this statistic breaks your heart, but your continued support for comprehensive amnesty suggests otherwise.

How do you intend on bringing "hope" to the American people if you give our jobs away to illegal aliens? There are currently 7.7 million illegal aliens with jobs. Do you think this is fair? Do you even care about the American families that cannot afford to put food on the table or send their children to college?

I urge you to oppose amnesty of any form (comprehensive or otherwise). Amnesty will harm those you profess a desire to help and only help those who have broken the law. This is not the "hope" I was expecting!

Urge President Obama to Protect America's Unemployed!

Dear President Obama:

It is likely that the Congressional Hispanic Caucus will propose a plan for comprehensive amnesty when its members meet with you. Please do not support any amnesty proposals as they can only harm unemployed and underemployed Americans.

It is astounding that the Congressional Hispanic Caucus would promote amnesty when such a proposal, if enacted, would seriously harm Hispanic Americans. However, Hispanic Americans would not be the only Americans harmed by such a bill.

Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that the official unemployment rate among Black American young adults with high school diplomas is 20.2% and the unemployment rate among Black American teens (age 16-17) is 31.6% . An amnesty of illegal aliens (currently 7.7 million illegal aliens have American jobs) would keep these less-fortunate African American youths permanently unemployed.

Any amnesty would harm America's most vulnerable. Please do not support any amnesty proposals when you meet with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Dear President Obama:

I find it absurd that some politicians refuse to listen to what the American people have to say. However, I know you are no ordinary politician. Which is why I wanted to let you know about a new Rasmussen poll that shows that 73% of Americans support automatic immigration checks at traffic stops and 67% of Americans support ICE's workplace enforcement raids.

There are more than 12 million unemployed Americans, yet there are more than 7.7 million illegal aliens with jobs. Doesn't this fact startle, disgust, and infuriate you? The latest Rasmussen poll shows that Americans are disgusted and infuriated with the government's refusal to stringently enforce our nation's immigration laws.

No one is saying that stringent enforcement would cure all of our nation's ills, but it would help many unemployed Americans find jobs. Don't you want unemployed numbers to go down?

I urge you to listen to the American people, not the special interest groups you claim to detest. Lax enforcement of our immigration laws helps only illegal aliens and unscrupulous business owners and harms all Americans.

Dear Secretary Napolitano:

How can you oppose ICE raids when there are more than 11.5 million unemployed Americans?

There are more than 11.5 million unemployed Americans and more than 500,000 Americans are losing their jobs each month. Don't you find this absolutely appalling?

You can then understand why I find your displeasure with ICE's February 24 raid to be absolutely disgusting. President Obama has, time and again, made creating jobs his top priority. With this in mind, how can you justify instigating an investigation of ICE's actions when the raid will provide jobs for 28 Americans?

It is vital that you do not take any action that would deter ICE agents from conducting work site enforcement raids. There are more than 11.5 million unemployed Americans and ICE's raids give hope these downtrodden Americans.

I find it appalling that you favor illegal aliens over American workers. Your actions belie your supposed intentions.

You have promised time and again to create jobs for Americans. While ICE raids may not be as expensive or fancy as a $750 billion stimulus package, they do preserve jobs for American workers. I find it disheartening that you would rather stand up for the rights of illegal alien workers (people who do not have the legal right to work in the United States) than stand up for America's unemployed and underemployed.

Your Administration is revealing that you would rather pander to special interest groups than help America's downtrodden. First you opposed a provision of the stimulus package that would have required fund recipients to use of E-Verify and now you (through a White House spokesman) have opposed ICE's work site enforcement raids. Your actions help only special interest groups and illegal-alien workers, not America's unemployed.

I urge you to rethink your actions and determine whom you truly represent. Do you represent those people who elected you or do you represent illegal-alien workers and the unscrupulous, un-American business owners who hire them?

I did the NumbersUSA one and I also sent the one below that I wrote.

Dear Mr. President:

I just wanted to tell you that I think it’s an outrage that our ICE agents and our 287(g) participants are being told not to enforce our immigration laws in this country. This is demoralizing to the very people who are asked to protect this country, and it’s an insult to the American people, and to our Constitution. To add salt in the wound, the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi is out there protesting with illegal aliens and calling the laws of this land un-American and telling the people who have broken our laws, that they are the ones who are patriotic.

You, Sir, have made it clear that you would rather represent citizens of foreign countries instead of the citizens of this country, and you continually rub it in our faces by meeting with Hispanic groups, oftentimes where there are illegal aliens present, telling these people that you are going to ignore the majority of the people and reform immigration to give them amnesty anyway. That sends a message to the people around the world who have been waiting for years to come here legally, that they do not matter to you. And it tells the American people that they don’t matter, either

We have 12 million American people out of work, yet you are currently allowing 7 million illegal aliens to hold jobs in this country. And now, you are telling ICE that they can’t even approach these workers unless they have committed violent crimes. For one thing, I would like to know how ICE will know that without first having them checked out to see if they have indeed committed a violent crime. These actions by this government tell the illegal aliens that their jobs are secure while month after month, more and more Americans are losing their jobs. You say you want to go after the employers, yet Congress is being allowed to keep stalling making E-Verify permanent so that employers are given the tool necessary to abide by the laws. This whole situation is upside down.

You promised change. Well, the only change I see coming is the American people being shoved off to the side, and the death of our Constitution, so that big corporations can keep a continual flow of cheap, foreign labor coming into this country. It doesn’t send a good message when our President and our Congress both are spending precious energy advocating for illegal aliens when our country is in an economic crisis. I think that you, as the leader of this land, need to figure out what your priorities are, because the American people certainly deserve a whole lot better than what they have been getting.
