New poll: John McCain with ample Senate primary lead over Kelli Ward

New poll: John McCain with ample Senate primary lead over Kelli Ward

    Aug 11, 2016, 11:19am MST

A new statewide poll gives U.S. Sen. John McCain a 50 percent to 29 percent lead over Republican primary challenger Kelli Ward.

Still, 17 percent are undecided in the poll by Data Orbital LLC. That group is headed by George Khalaf, former political director for the Arizona Republican Party.

Ward, a conservative doctor and former state legislator from Lake Havasu City, is looking to upset McCain. The incumbent Republican has backing from the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry and U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He is a strong advocate of free trade policies.

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump recently endorsed McCain after delaying that backing. Trump opposes free trade pacts that have hurt Midwestern states key to his electoral college success.

The poll included 500 likely Republican primary voters.

Arizona’s GOP primary is Aug. 30.

With Paul Ryan winning and McCain leading, I fear that the mass of people have not awakened. If McCain wins, it would appear that the so called anti-establishment movement is all smoke and mirrors. I constantly see polls and reactions in opposition to open boarders and the illegal invasion. Kelly Ward and Nehlen didn't come from nowhere. What is it that is getting McCain and Ryan to stay in their positions?

    A) Illegals are voting and getting away with it?
    B) Naive Millennials are bored because they don't work and are coming out in droves destroying the country because they want to stay in school forever and have their elders pay for their "education" with tax money?
    C) The elections are truly rigged? Paul Ryan didn't seem to be worried at all and the delayed and reluctant endorsement by Trump may just be proof.
    D) The plan to have "them" out number "us" was a huge success and there is no longer enough of "us" to get the country back on track to safety and prosperity.
    E) Single moms are just so busy trying to have it all that they can't find the time to vote for their children's future? Fathers are working overtime to pay for child support and can't make it out to vote?
    F) The career unemployed and welfare state individuals are on dope and want to keep it that way so between highs with no job, they manage to come out and vote?
    G) All of the above.

I hope things turn around, but I am discouraged at this time with the Wisconsin and Arizona current results. Maybe it is too late. Historically Empires come and go, but as a child, i did not think it would happen so rapidly to this country in my own life time.

    Pray for our nation.

Things will turn around. Ryan's in for 2 more years, but maybe the Congress will remove him as Speaker. That would be a big plus.

I think it's hard for people in Arizona to vote against someone like McCain who was elected as a War Hero.

They elected Jeff Flake, so I can't say much about the electorate in AZ. JMO
