    Donation/Advertising idea?

I was wondering if other states have this same type of "custom license plate" offering.
Here in VA we have many different organizations that will apply their logo/catch phrase to the Va plates and when a customer chooses that plate for their vehicle a donation is made to that organization/group. I haven't checked to see what allows you to be a part of this, but will during DMV's business hours. I was wondering if ALIPAC would be interested in this if it were a possible option. Would be a great advertisement and I'm sure the interest is in this area as the counties are surely making a statement in passing Illegal Immigration laws. There are over 50 different groups doing this. All local colleges, breast cancer society, frat. order of police, firefighters, animal friendly groups, etc. Seems all are non profit org's.
Here is a link to the special interest type plates for purchase on the Va DMV to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
    Any other states doing this?

I found the application information for doing so. Apparently your application for the plate to be produced is to be in by July 1. If 350 applications for this plate is not submitted within 30 days, the plates will not be produced. Here is a link with detailed info on the process.

    Just an idea.

ALIPAC Plates! I love the idea but I wouldn't the opposition following me home. That's why I don't do bumper stickers.
