No Rubio prez run in 2020? -- Rubio battles Murphy, Clinton & Trump -- Half a million Floridians have already voted -- CSI: UPS in Palm Beach County

Buenos dias. Good morning, I’m filling in for the first time for Playbook’s popular author-in-chief Marc Caputo, and “God willing” I’m hoping to get through this and return to my day job as senior editor at POLITICO Florida. Speaking of God, Sen. Marco Rubio mentioned the supreme being several times in Monday night’s debate when asked if he planned to stick around the U.S. Senate and not split to run for the White House in 2020. For his part, Murphy flipped the script on the American Dream, telling the story of his very wealthy father’s humble beginnings. So went Round 1 of the U.S. Senate debate.

‘God willing’ – “In debate, Rubio pledges to serve six years in Senate — 'God willing,’”

by POLITICO Florida’s Matt Dixon: “Marco Rubio and Patrick Murphy squared off Monday night in a debate, with each candidate trying to tie the other to their party's unpopular presidential candidates, and Rubio apparently signaling that, if elected, he would serve his full term and not run for president in 2020. ‘I am going to serve six years in the U.S. Senate, God willing,’ Rubio said.

Murphy had attacked Rubio throughout the campaign on the idea that Rubio would abandon the job and run for president in 2020, two years before his Senate term was up.

“In their televised debate on the University of Central Florida campus, Murphy tried to use the potential presidential run to fan the narrative that Rubio would be an absentee senator. But the Miami lawmaker countered the talking point by pledging to stick around for six years in the Senate — something he had not promised to do during the campaign.” http://politi.co/2epfcUc
