NumbersUSA Alert on Sen Graham's Amnesty plot in the Senate

"Graham stressed that while his initial proposal was focused on asylum, he was willing to broaden it, including finding a solution on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, in order to get 60 votes. Graham said he would hold a hearing and a markup of his legislation during the Senate's next work period, which runs through June.
"'I'm willing to put other immigration ideas on the table to marry up with this,' Graham said."

Pelosi's HR 6 Amnesty passes House
Some Republicans already in danger of caving:
GOP Sen. Graham pushes his own amnesty proposal

Every dollar you give means we can do more to fight!
    Dear David,
Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 6, Speaker Nancy Pelosi's DREAM amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. Remember, H.R. 6 is a no-strings amnesty -- there is nothing in it BUT amnesty for 4 million illegal aliens.
Our job now is to stop a disastrous, no-strings amnesty bill from succeeding in the Senate. How could that happen? Read on. How are we going to stop it? By marshalling our 8 million activists to knock down a bad bill on the Senate side.
David, we have to take our stand in the Senate. We cannot fail there! But our opposition is organized and relentless. Our NumbersUSA Action fund alone funds the faxing, the phoning, the emailing, the lobbying, the gradecarding necessary to win a big fight like this. No foundation can donate to this fund. Only if you and tens of thousands of other activists band together to give can we defeat this threat.

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that H.R. 6 would "probably" not get a vote. But he told Fox radio, "The Dreamers have a sympathetic case. There are circumstances under which I and others would be happy to support that. But we need to do more than that. You know there's some genuine fixes on the legal immigration side and on the illegal immigration side that need to be addressed."
Enter Sen. Lindsey Graham. As Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, he's in charge of shaping immigration legislation in the Senate.
Graham, has introduced his own immigration bill, S.1494, that attempts to close the loopholes in the law that has led to the gigantic run on the southern border by Central American unaccompanied minors and families traveling with minors. Though far from perfect, Graham's bill would go a long way toward slowing down this flow.
HOWEVER. . . the trouble comes because Sen. Graham, one of the original Senate Gang of Eight members, has already stated he's willing to consider adding a large amnesty to his bill to get enough Democrats to get to 60 votes needed for final passage. The Hill newspaper states:
"Graham stressed that while his initial proposal was focused on asylum, he was willing to broaden it, including finding a solution on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, in order to get 60 votes. Graham said he would hold a hearing and a markup of his legislation during the Senate's next work period, which runs through June.
"'I'm willing to put other immigration ideas on the table to marry up with this,' Graham said."
What would Mitch McConnell think of that approach. While he could block such a compromise bill, might he be tempted to allow it? That's a place we can apply pressure. Because, If Sen. Graham can get an asylum-fix-with-enormous-amnesty bill through the Senate, the House Democrats might go along. So what we would end up with would be a couple of insufficient border fixes married with an enormous amnesty. Would the President be tempted to sign this? Maybe. He seems pretty desperate to deal with the border crisis.
In this scenario, what would the American people get?
    No mandatory E-Verify.
    No cut in legal immigration.
    No ending of chain migration.
    No punishment for sanctuary cities.
Lindsey Graham is popular in his state and party, and very articulate. At the same time, however, he's also been a cheerleader and sponsor of the worst big bills to increase increase immigration and grant amnesty to many millions of illegal aliens.
Graham plans to hold a hearing on his bill, and get it ready for floor action, in the next two weeks. Far as we know, he could be working on the compromise that will add the huge amnesty to the bill.
David, are you ok with this? If not, let's get going NOW to stop this threat.

We need to organize opponents of illegal and unwarranted immigration, and we'll need your help to do so.
Let's just think for a minute about how BAD the amnesty is that passed Tuesday in the House.
H.R. 6 -- passed by the House Tuesday -- would give amnesty, work papers and eventual citizenship to more than 4 million illegal aliens, putting them on the path to eventual citizenship. (With chain migration, this could result eventually in 14 million more immigrants.) This is the enormous group of illegal aliens brought to the U.S. as minors.
Also, the bill would allow 450,000 more aliens to stay permanently. They have received "Temporary Protected Status" (TPS) or Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) due to crises in their home countries. So this bill sends sends the message that supposedly temporary protected status really means never having to go home. There's tons of outrageous provisions in this amnesty:
✖ Although gang members are supposed to be banned from the amnesty, the bill prevents authorities from searching government databases to discover who's in the gangs!
✖ Convictions on multiple misdemeanors committed on two separate days won't prevent an amnesty.
✖ H.R. 6 contains no reforms or funding to block further illegal immigration.
✖ It does not require meaningful proof to establish that applicants qualify, so possibly even future illegal aliens could be granted this amnesty!
It's scary, but this House-passed bill could be used to "compromise" with what Graham does in the Senate. The pressure on Trump and Graham is only increasing, as open borders groups are helping hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens and asylees storm our borders. Apprehensions on the southern border are 50% higher than last year's total! And we still have four months to go in the fiscal year!
We need our side to stand strong, to counter these outrages and negotiate from strength. We're directly notifying 7 million social-media activists about how bad these plans are. And, we've brought back one-click message system for our on-line activists.
It's cost us millions of dollars to build the base of activists and the technology to deliver their messages for free to Congress.
Don't let it go to waste. Every dollar you give means more people will use our free message system. Every dollar means more pressure on our allies to stand firm, and our opponents to be reasonable. Every dollar means a greater likelihood of returning our immigration policies to sanity.

Senator Lindsey Graham's Amnesty plot is supposed to move toward the goal line for millions of illegals this week, and he already has enough Republican sellouts on board to join with Democrats to pass the bill! Please help us meet today's matching offer (DONATE NOW) to fuel our fight to stop Amnesty 2019.

We must take strong action this week, but unfortunately, our funding levels are low with only 13 days left for us to raise the $15,000 ALIPAC must receive to fight onward.

Thankfully, we have just received a matching offer of $1,000 to quickyaccelerate our funds drive. Please donate $100 today to have it doubled to $200 or $25 to become $50 thanks to our generous existing donors who want to encourage you to join our efforts.

Help us match this offer quickly TODAY so we can go after Graham's Amnesty plans tomorrow.
