There are numerous posts on this board regarding the DREAM Act, and rightly so, because it's crucial that this insanity is defeated. I have written and emailed the following to all 50 Senators:

Dear Senator,

The DREAM Act is perilous legislation for our nation.

Whether it continues to be a stand alone bill or if it gets speciously attached to other, unrelated legislation, it should be opposed by any politician that truly cares about the American citizenry.

NumbersUSA has just issued their urgent alert for Dream act.The amount of blogs & anti-immigrant websites that have issued alerts against the Dream amendment seems to have increased exponentially overnight.

The reason might be that the vote will be next week.......or the following week according to this site.

I believe the vote SHOULD be next week so as not to give our counterparts time to undo what we've worked for so far.It is also likely that the actual vote could take place either Tuesday,Wednesday or Thursday of next week since there are usually no votes on Mondays or Fridays pertaining to amendments.

We will find many more leaches the further we wade into the illegal alien cesspool.

cant post in the other forum, but too everyone who is freking out right now(especially taskgirl) YOU NEED TO TAKE A CHILL PILL. We have the votes, we have the momentum, and we have durbin. Dream will pass next week and we will all be happier. Doing your own estimates is innaccurate, especially when HALF THE SENATORS ARE UNDECIDED, but also scares the rest of the people for no reason. Its politics, and you will never know until the votes occurs.
