He said our population is expected to increase by 50% in the next 30 years. There will be population growth experts on with Lou.

I hate when Lou talks about something important, then waits until the end to show it

Good segment. One expert said that our population will DOUBLE what it was in 1967 by 2040. That 60-75% of it will be due to immigration. One guy was an environmentalist, and seemed like a dope. Downplaying the immigration impact on population growth. And when Lou asked about environmentalist silence on population growth, he said it was a "sensitive" issue, that people are "scared" to discuss. Claiming the issue is about things people don't want to talk about, like sex and contraception. Then Lou asked him what we should do, he talked about Health Care (including for illegals!!!) and contraception. Lou hammered him pretty hard on his side-stepping and contradictions.

What's scary, is that these #s are probably an UNDERESTIMATION, because past projections of population growth have often proven to be lower than the actual growth.

Anyone else see it?

Yes, one of them did say that most of the population growth will be due to both immigrants and their descendents.

They didn't put it this way, but IMO 100% of population growth is due to immigrants and their descendents, considering that native-born Americans have a children-per-women ratio at less than replacement level.

What I find incredible about the environmentalist movement is their ambivolence to, or outright support of illegal immigration. The environmentalist population growth expert typified their hypocrisy on the issue. I mean, here we have a situation where population explosion almost exclusively due to immigration puts our land, air, water, and infrastructure quality in extreme danger, and they say next to nothing about immigration. The only thing the guy on Dobbs' show said relating to immigration was that we need to give them better health care

I think that the environmental movement just got too political, and too cozy with left-wing movements to state the obvious peril to our environment. Just like an SPLC person claimed about Roy Beck "starting from the left, and then going into a xenophobic tirade." What she was refering to was Beck's environmentalist credentials, and motivations. Apparently, if you are an environmentalist you have to be a leftist. It has gotten way to entangled in political alliances, to the point where they have lost fundamental focus of what they are all about -- PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT. They miss the biggest environmental danger our future generations face.

We are drowning in illegals here, as well as anchor baby explosion, and we are suffering a severe water shortage. All outdoor watering is banned except for vegetable gardens, and our reservoirs are so low that there is a danger of levels dropping below the outflow pipes. The water authority has already discussed possible plans for rationing. Illegals who live 3 families per single family house have greatly contributed to our overcrowded roads, schools and strained municipal services.

Lou's show did mention the possibility of global water shortage with the population explosion. We only need to look at China to see what our future holds as far as environmental mayhem.

Incidentally, George W. bought that vast expanse of property in Paraguay - and it is located on an aquafir. And has spent the last 8 years insuring that he will probably rule the world.

Yes it is "sensitive" because a Wall Street fund manager bought off the Sierra Club with a $100 million bribe (donation). To bad Lou didn't bring that up.

Good for Lou, because the Sierra Club will not even talk about all the babies immigrants have, especially in California because of all the goodies the State gives them for up to eight children!!
