Obama Wants The Most Effective Method Of Preventing Terrorism Cut!

As a direct result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the FAM (Federal Air Marshall) and FFDO (Federal Flight Deck Officer) programs were created. Most are quite familiar with the FAM’s, so I’m going to mainly be dealing with the FFDO program.
The FFDO program is essentially a program that deputizes and “arms” selected pilots in the flight deck. The sole purpose is to prevent another 9/11 from ever occurring again, and since the programs inception, has had a 100% success rate.
For the last several years though, Barack Hussein Obama has attempted to completely cut the programs funding. That would essentially eliminate this vital program, and potentially put us at risk for another potential terrorist attack!
Last year, when the President’s budget slated the FFDO program for elimination, ALPA (Air Line Pilots Association) responded aggressively, winning unanimous passage in the House and Senate of legislation to restore the program’s funding. This year, the Administration is trying a stair step approach, cutting nearly 20% of the FFDO budget, which may eliminate three full-time staff, and potentially decrease the number of training locations. They are hoping to accomplish piece meal what they could not do in one swing: the destruction of the FFDO program.
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is fighting back though. Quite recently, he told Sean Hannity that he wants ALL AIRLINE PILOTS ARMED!
I’m not quite sure if that bill is going to be immediately achievable, but at the very least, the FFDO budget needs significant increases which would allow many qualified pilots to enter the program. As it stands now, due to the Obama administrations continuos attacks to the programs funding, many pilots are getting “left out in the cold.”
Obama is no friend of this nation. The current FFDO budget is minimal, protects thousands of flights daily, has been in effect for approximately 12 years, and has been proven as the single most effective method of deterring terrorism. The amount of the budget compares to one drop of water, in a 55 gallon drum, and Obama wants it gone!
This brings two questions to mind. First, if Obama is so concerned about government spending, why is he fishing for elimination of a budget that truly is a drop in a bucket, while he continues massive and reckless spending elsewhere? Second, why does he continually attempt to destroy the program year after year? You almost have to start wondering here. Based on the above facts, why is this programs elimination becoming such a “quest” for him?
You however can help. Thank God this isn’t solely Obama’s decision, and it requires congressional approval. If everybody reading this article could take 5 minutes to contact their Representatives and Senators demanding that the FFDO budget be INCREASED, we could once again block Barack’s bogus agenda!
