RICK PERRY: Refuses To Shake Obama’s Hand On Tarmac, Here’s Why RP’s Pissed

Texans don’t play and here’s a great example of what a true governor would do given the current crisis on the Texas border. Check out Perry’s snubbing of the progressives’ glory boy, Barack Hussein Obama.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) won’t be on hand to greet President Barack Obama when Air Force One lands in Austin on Wednesday.

The governor’s office says the White House extended an invitation to Perry to meet Obama on the tarmac when he arrives for Democratic fundraisers in Dallas and Austin. However, Perry refused the offer, asking instead to meet with Obama in private to discuss the high number of unaccompanied children arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border in recent months.

“I appreciate the offer to greet you at Austin-Bergstrom Airport, but a quick handshake on the tarmac will not allow for a thoughtful discussion regarding the humanitarian and national security crises enveloping the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas,” Perry wrote Monday in a letter to the president. “I would instead offer to meet with you at any time during your visit to Texas for a substantive meeting to discuss this critical issue.”

Talk is still cheap Perry!!!! Are you still running for office???? You still wouldn't get my vote...

I've never voted for Perry, but I do back him here trying to get the federal government to do their own damned work, instead of depending upon Texas to do it. Just another display of selfish America, not getting into the expense of the trouble that it caused. We need about 20.000 troops or MORE on the border to repel anymore invasion that has been encouraged by dems and repubs now for a generation.

I have to take a dear friend to Dallas for medical treatment tomorrow. Obama and Perry are to be there to to have a meeting. I imagine all the nations press will be there too. Imagining the traffic is not a fun image, hopefully my imagination is just going into overdrive.

I wish Perry could have pushed Obama for a trip to the border, but he at least did not settle for a promo handshake that might have indicated to some that peaches and cream was hunky-dory with the two.
