Obama will turn America into a third world country if he gets in. That is what you third party and Obama supporters need to understand...NO LESS then that will he do.
He seems quite proud of it as well.....ya....you're free and I'll bankrupt you for trying.
So I'll promise to get you jobs and take the ones you have away
I promise to shut down your heating resource and the coal to liquid for our military vehicles fuel
I promise to shut down a resource that can eventually fuel your cars.
Forget thinking about shale oil to liquid for heat, drive, etc. He'll try to kill that even if we have more of that than Saudi Arabia has oil.
Good guy but then he knows what is better for us than we do. After all he'll take my money and give it to someone who needs a hand out. He won't let me chose who I want to help. Great guy.
O-Man supports clean coal. This is why Ohioans, Pennsylvanians, etc. will support him. Payless the Skank keeps lying, but it ain't workin'.
O man will create jobs for Americans , not for Illegals !!
Just saw a report on this and PA, OHIO, VA are getting really angry the more they have learned. Even IOWA who gets a lot of coal.
The guy I heard reporting on this from PA said that there are a lot of jobs that are side or bleed off jobs that relates to coal.
He said it would "bankrupt" the coal industry. His own words. People there DON'T LIKE THAT. It's called feeding your kids and heating your homes and affording your homes.
Just got this in an email from a friend:
When we were on a motorhome trip in late spring and this summer we kept passing long, long train load after long, long train load of coal and we were baffled as to where they were going because we were in the midwest at the time and didn't "think" these were coal areas. We finally asked at a church we attended one Sunday when we were visiting with some terrific heartland folks in there in Iowa, "Where is all of the train loaded coal going?" They very nicely told us, while they seemed somewhat shocked we wouldn't know such a thing, that the coal went to coal fed generating stations which is where their electricity came from. Who knew???? Therefore, when we saw this video from Drudge Report yesterday and then today all over the news and further received this link to the story and video, I decided to pass it on. Obama, on video from February 2008, states that they can build coal plants but the green gas taxes on them will be so high that they will be bankrupted AND the cost of the electricity produced will skyrocket. And who's bank account will that hit?????
Too bad the poorly run McCain campaign didn't find this news story earlier.
Like the guy said, "I have to confess I don't read the San Francisco Chronicle." quite frankly not too many people do. LOLQuote:

There are also giant coal mines in Wyoming, that coal goes to midwest power plants.

Thank God!
Look who is in charge of McCains campaign. Hispanics are for Obama and no one else. There are alot of things that should have been bought up that would have made McCain the winner. But ALL of it has been ALITTLE TOO LATE - ALWAYS - how convinent for the Obama people.Quote:

Obama to Declare Carbon Dioxide Dangerous Pollutant (Update1)
By Jim Efstathiou Jr.
Oct. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Barack Obama will classify carbon dioxide as a dangerous pollutant that can be regulated should he win the presidential election on Nov. 4, opening the way for new rules on greenhouse gas emissions.
The Democratic senator from Illinois will tell the Environmental Protection Agency that it may use the 1990 Clean Air Act to set emissions limits on power plants and manufacturers, his energy adviser, Jason Grumet, said in an interview.
...
Clean coal emitts co2 and he will go after the co2. SO you get the picture or not. The public school system has died.
Yep, lets just hope it isn't too late of Ohio, PA, VA, Indiana, MT, WY. This guy can kill these states just like the environmentalists have killed our town in CA.Quote:

Hidden Audio: Obama Tells SF Chronicle He Will Bankrupt Coal Industry
By P.J. Gladnick
November 2, 2008 - 07:26 ET
(Please read update about the San Francisco Chronicle neglecting to mention Obama’s willingness to bankrupt the coal industry at bottom of this blog.)
Imagine if John McCain had whispered somewhere that he was willing to bankrupt a major industry? Would this declaration not immediately be front page news? Well, Barack Obama actually flat out told the San Francisco Chronicle (SF Gate) that he was willing to see the coal industry go bankrupt in a January 17, 2008 interview. The result? Nothing. This audio interview has been hidden from the public…until now. Here is the transcript of Obama’s statement about bankrupting the coal industry (emphasis mine):
Let me sort of describe my overall policy.
What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there.
I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.
So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.
That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel and other alternative energy approaches.
The only thing I’ve said with respect to coal, I haven’t been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as a (sic) ideological matter as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it.
So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can.
It’s just that it will bankrupt them.
Amazing that this statement by Obama about bankrupting the coal industry has been kept under wraps until this time.
UPDATE: NewsBusters’ Tom Blumer has found out that the San Francisco Chronicle story published on January 18 based upon this January 17 interview did not include any mention of Obama’s willingness to bankrupt the coal industry which you can hear on the audio. You can read the story here when you scroll down to the “In His Own Wordsâ€
