Obama Holding America Hostage to Islamic Oil Interests

President Obama has come out again against the Keystone XL pipeline. “Republicans have said that this would be a big jobs generator,” Obama said. “There is no evidence that that’s true. The most realistic estimates are this might create maybe 2,000 jobs during the construction of the pipeline, which might take a year or two, and then after that we're talking about somewhere between 50 and 100 jobs in an economy of 150 million working people.”
Major companies are going to risk millions, actually $5.3 billion, to build a pipeline that will only employ about 100 people after it’s built? It’s obvious that Obama doesn’t know a thing about economics.
Or does he?
How many jobs were created long-term after a cell tower goes up? Probably not many. I have never seen a single worker at a cell tower.
Following Obama’s economic logic, cell towers should never have been built.
The same could be said about oil refineries.
But what cell towers and oil refineries do is make it possible for millions of people to participate in a global economy at reduced prices and heightened efficiency.
Inexpensive energy benefits everybody. Costs are lowered, not just for the rich, but for the poorest among us. Domestic oil production will benefit every American. This could be a reason Obama is opposing the Keystone Pipeline. He doesn’t want it said that Americans don’t need government.
But there may be another reason why Obama is opposing the pipeline. It will hurt Islamic oil interests. If the United States becomes energy independent, the Muslim world will lose its stream of income, and Islam will lose its ability to expand.
At least one Arab in the know realizes what is possible in the United States if government gets out of the way and lets the free market take over:
“Billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal said the Gulf Arab kingdom needed to reduce its reliance on crude oil and diversify its revenues.
“His warning comes as rising shale energy supplies in the United States cut global demand for Saudi oil.
“In an open letter to his country's oil minister Ali al Naimi and other government heads, published on Sunday via his Twitter account, Prince Alwaleed said demand for oil from Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) member states was ‘in continuous decline.’”
So the question remains: Is Obama trying to keep Muslim oil interests intact by putting up roadblocks for domestic oil drilling and cooperation with Canada? For whatever reason, and there may be a number of them, President Obama is disdainful of the United States. I firmly believe he wants to knock America down a few pegs for all its global “crimes against humanity” and maybe even against him personally. Cozying up to the Muslims is one way to accomplish this goal.
