Immigration laws need adherence, not reform
Well, I just read in the Jan. 2 Washington Times [“CA’s top court rules illegal alien can join bar”] another good example of why our immigration system “is broken.”

It seems a judge in California ruled that an illegal alien (excuse me — “undocumented immigrant” — to be politically correct) can be licensed to practice law, even though he is not in the country legally.

This goes along with President Obama’s declaring that the “Dreamers,” which includes people well into their 30s who were “dragged” over here by their illegal immigrant parents (who are still here), should be granted legal status. Now, the “Dreamers” are demanding legal status for their parents so the family isn’t separated.

Most of these illegal immigrants who are separated from family did it to themselves. No one forced them over here by gun, bayonet or slavery. They came here on their own free will. I’m sure they would all agree it was well worth the effort. After all, where else would they get 12 years of free education for the kids, along with free breakfast and lunch? Don’t forget the free hospitalization so they could produce their “anchor babies.” All this, and Lord knows what else, from the good ‘ole taxpayers.

Another example of our “broken system” is Obama’s use of the pen to bash, trash and ignore our immigration laws and sue states (Arizona, for one) who try to uphold our immigration laws.

No, the system isn’t broken. Our immigration laws are being broken and ignored, not only by illegals, but by our own government.

I hope and pray the Republicans don’t even come close to passing an immigration bill like the one passed by the Senate. So far, there doesn’t seem to be any outcry from citizens over this mess.

What a shame.
