    It is this reporter's opinion that our friend Lou Dobbs is right on target when he demands Homeland Security Michael Chertoff either resign or be fired.

    Chertoff has been dragging his feet in the overall battle against the illegal invasion of America.

    We are witnessing a spillover of Mexican drug cartels into the United States eager for the riches they can harvest — at the expense of American lives.

    In the midst of this, the president of Mexico, Felipe Calderón, is planning a visit to the United States to speak for the rights of Mexican illegals. Does the president of Mexico mean “rights?â€

    Chertoff, in an interview, says Border agents have been attacked with firearms, knives, bats, steel pipes, vehicles, boats, etc. Violence on the border has increased 31 percent from 2006 to 2007. Attacks on agents jumped 44 percent over the same period.
    Maybe there is a co-relation between this increase and the imprisonment of border agents who do their job?
