if nothing else, Congress should suspend the writ of habeas corpus because we have been invaded ... maybe then people would wake up to see what is going on. And many would be surprised to know our Congress is voting for amnesty and social security benefits for Mexican nationals

Many object to the Patriot Act stating it is unconstitutional --- suspending the the writ of habeas corpus is constitutional and justifiable.

So Congress does not have the right to give illegal aliens amnesty, the only right it has is to KEEP THEM OUT.....or if they get in....GET THEM OUT!!

Well, there is no question that our public safety is at risk....I think 10,000 people have already been murdered by illegal aliens. Someone posted an article with this number in it, I believe it was calculated by the Attorney General of the State of California.

Mamie, lets work through execution of this. What this says clear as a bell to me is that Congress can order troops to the borders WITHOUT consent of the President? In other words, if Bush because he's infatuated with a slave/serf/drone state here in the United States and ad hoc has refused to protect our borders, Congress can put those troops on the border.

How does that work: Who makes the call? Do they pass a resolution and instruct the National Guards to the Borders? This is exactly what the National Guards in all the states were formed to do....protect the inland....i. e. National Guards....to Guard the Nation.

So every Governor could actually order National Guards to their borders and participate with others to guards theirs?

Or the Congress can do it....as you've just pointed out.

Or the President can do it....but as he's pointed out, he just 'aint gonna.

Tom Delay and Haskert could get resolutions in a second and order National Guards to the Borders.

Let me know what you think...this seems to say....Congress can or the Governors can or they both can.

The population of the south was only about 25% of that in the north, but Lincoln stated

according to the Constitution:

Congress has the power ... once it calls forth the "militia" or National Guard, then the President is the commander and chief ...

the militia's were replaced with the National Guard so I don't think the Governor has any authority over the Guard because they're federal

So....the Minutemen do have to guard the National Guard.

That is the present plan of the Minutemen.
