Georgia counties are finally getting fed up with illegals ..
trashing everything and breaking the bank on all social services and education.
On a local georgia news story, some Lantino organization was ranting on how some of these counties better have deep pockets, because they were going to file a lawsuit against enforcement of rental and landlord policies as being racist.
I don't understand how none of the laws on the books can be enforced, but Mexicans can break all of them and sue us for trying to enforce them.
They was also said the the states and counties have no right to deal with this, that the feds must do it properly. We all know that won't happen.I'm "Dot" and I am LEGAL!

Along with sending the ACLU a "MERRY CHIRISTMAS" card ... in addition to this maybe we should send them a weekly card ...even if hand or computer written...just to keep them busy....CONTINUALLY!!
Please help save America for our children and grandchildren... they are counting on us. THEY DESERVE the goodness of AMERICA not to be given to those who are stealing our children's future! ... and a congress who works for THEM!

Feds
Only the Federal government can determine someone's immigration status, but the courts have ruled that state and local governments can use a Federal determination to make welfare decisions against illegal immigrants.
For example, California passed a referendum banning welfare and other benefits to illegal aliens, and set up a system to determine who is/is not illegal. The Federal courts ruled the state could ban welfare to illegal immigrants, but only the Federal government could determine that someone was an illegal immigrant. The court struck down parts of the referendum where the State was trying to assume powers granted the Federal government under the Supremecy clause of the Constitution.
To my knowledge, no court has ruled yet on the new ordinances prohibiting businesses from hiring illegal immigrants or renting housing. IMHO, as long at the States aren't trying to assume a power granted to the Federal government, the ordinances are legal. Only time will tell! There are immigrants and there are illegal aliens. An immigrant comes here legally, obeys our laws, assimilates, and the only flags an immigrant waves is an American flag. There's no such thing as an illegal immigrant.

Bquasis, if you are referrring to prop 87. The will of the people was thwarted by one federal judge and he would have been overturned but unfortunatly Grey Davis (whose mother threw away the baby and raised the afterbirth) never appealed.

I say we file a class action lawsuit against the ACLU for aiding and abetting the illegals! then we file a lawsuit against all illegals filing lawsuits in our courts against people who are only trying to enforce our immigration laws, turn it back on them, I am sick of these lawsuits pretty soon we will not have any court free to do as they are suppose to do and that is to put criminals away! Isn't this some of those frivilous lawsuits Georgie was talking about getting rid of?
