Is it ok if we make this a thread for pictures of the hordes? Stuff like the phot you put up, and also pic of congested conditions in areas with illegals around the country?
Might be a good idea for people whose neighborhoods have not yet been annexed by the new mexican hinterland.
Damn, their eyes are still open! They must not have sealed the trunk air tight enough, or opened it too soon
Well, I just want them to open their eyes and see themselves back in Mexico :lol:Quote:

International drivers license issued by the Brazilian embassy. Many Brazilians are apprehended crossing the border. This document was found early one morning at a layup stop about 15 miles inside the border the next day after it was issued. The owner made an express trip through southern Arizona and left the document behind.

Airline ticket, February 11, 2004, from Mexico City to Hermosillo, Sonora - a large city with an International Airport, about 150 miles Southeast from Nogales. Illegal aliens often fly to Hermosillo, then take busses from the airport to the U.S. boorder where they meet up with guides ("coyotes") and walk into the United States. When they are 5-30 miles into the U.S., they lay up at pickup points until their pre-arranged transportation arrives. Many Other Than Mexicans (OTMs) fly into Mexico and then make their way to the Mexico-US border.

Monitoring Colonias Development Along the United States-Mexico Border
Western Region Geography is working to create Internet-enabled GIS that will help cities along the Arizona-Sonora portion of the United States–Mexico border deal with issues related to colonias. Colonias are rural neighborhoods within 150 miles of the border that lack adequate infrastructure or housing, as well as other basic services. Cooperators include the USGS Rocky Mountain Mapping Center, which piloted this project along the Texas border, as well as the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Mexican Instituto Nacional De EstadÃÂ*stica GeografÃÂ*a E Informática, and the University of Arizona.

Small border towns like Eagle Pass lack the federal funds to prevent illegal immigration and drug trafficking across the border.

Repairing the Damage
Sonny Wipff repairs a fence that was cut by smugglers on his ranch in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Jorge, an Aztec Native American from Mexico City, waits to cross into the U.S. Jorge has been crossing the border either legally or illegally for 20 years. After losing his green card over a battery conviction, he must now return illegally to his home in Northern California.
Behind him, Asta Bandera, another crossing point along the main road to
Baja California Sur. Clearly visible, the wall erected in 1992 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers serves as a reminder of the futility of trying to stop illegal immigration into the U.S. It is easily scaled and many small openings designed to let raw sewage seep through to the other side allow easy access to anyone wishing to cross. Built primarily as a public relations stunt out of material used for desert landing strips left over from the Gulf War, the wall's primary function is to reassure the public that the U.S. government is trying to stop illigal immigration. From the comfort of your living room the wall looks like a deterrent; at least that's the uneasy consensus amongst immigration officials.

In an open sewer of sorts known to all migrants as "Las Piedras", undocumented immigrants often hide from the U.S. Border Patrol. They are aware that agents will not follow them into the contaminated waters.

Waiting for the cover of darkness, a small group of migrants look down on the Tijuana river valley. Beyond these swamps and the vigilant eyes of the U.S. border patrol lies San Diego, and the possibility of a minimum-wage job.

Actually, threads are pretty "tough" to do this on, UNLESS there is a true thread owner, who snags the pics, and adds them to the site (with references if people want them). I thread that goes 100's of posts deep, with interspersed commentary (like this message which I will delete some time), make housing of pics (or any "ammunition" data) tough.Quote:

YES, the whole site is certainly a "ammunition" site, but it is scattered around, takes a while to find everything needed, Here is an example:

(I "think" people can get to that link without being signed up). NOTE that the thread itself has fallen upon disrepair, with no new data for quite some time, and it was last bumped on Feb 22. However, a thread like that (and pic thread with "ownership and maintainance") can REALLY help people learn how to destroy the emenies 4th grade level talking points.

What TDT had suggested... think his comment was "the hordes" I can't exactly find in pictures except for the large groups waiting to cross. A great find would be declining neighborhoods or houses painted in festiva colors smack in the middle of a decent neighborhood with multiple autos outside and obviously, several generations inside spilling over to the property on either side of them. Those would have to be personal photos, tho.
So, what do you think of the picture idea? It certainly drives home the point for new visitors and the images may help to spur activitists to TAKE BACK OUR LAND!
If you find any pics, please post ... we'll let William do the sorting out.
Interesting and good idea. I think William is tweaking and updating the forum daily, I'm sure, as the numbers grow. You have some good ideas you should pass along to him.Quote:

CAT IN LAP ALERT!!
Suggestion for the "whatever it's worth" catagory. . .
Yahoo has a section called Yahoo groups. The service is FREE, and contains a very limited e-mail discussion forum (useful as a backup if the forum goes down), a calender, and a photo library or archive. See http://groups.yahoo.com/ for more info.
Thanks for that tip, Mr. Magoo. Is there a current discussion group on immigration? Is there an immigration photo file library?Quote:

Right now, I don't have a lot of these, but TRUST ME, soon there will be lots of them coming all the way from Nebraska. We will be doing our own documentation of the situation. We have 1000's of scenes like you list above scattered all over the state (strangly, usually quite close to a meat packing plant  )Quote:

When our grassroots group gets going, we will start providing still, and video of the problems. We WILL target certain buisnesses, and simply video tape all the goings and comings from the buisness, including taping all of the workers, and their cars, and the license plates of them. We can do ALL of that, as long as we stay in "public" areas. Also, documenting the crap way they live (housing, etc), will also be done. The people of this state (and all of this country) NEED to see what is happening. The broken cars, naked children running all over, dirty diapers, trash, ... ALL of that in a community which until recently was a beautiful place to live. Then simply show that MANY such places exist. People will get upset when you force them to actually open their eyes and see the problem. Some may feel pity, but I think most will feel outrage! I know I do.

I belong to many Yahoo groups. I do not like them. The messages are simply non-threaded, and non-categorized. It is NOT a replacement (or much of a backup) for a true web site like this.

Husker,
I don't care for the discussion groups either. Too much like FR.

IF you want some illegal pix, lots can be found here:

That is home of: United States Border Patrol Auxiliary
and a quote from them:

My father is from the Eagle Pass/Quemado area, so I've spent a lot of time there as a child visiting with family and friends. This used to be a quiet little border community, so it shames me to see what it has become. I haven't been back in years and it looks like I will never go back.
Can someone help me? Your suggestions on how to post photos didn't work for me but here is the URL

The photo of the man hidden in the seat is even better than the woman hidden in the dashboard! Hope you can get these photos added.
Hoosiermama,
If you right click over the photo, you will get a pop-up box. Go to the botom and left click properties. In the next pop-up box, highlight the address (URL). Copy it. Come back here and type At this point you paste the URL between the parenthesis. This should give you your photo.
Example:

The Border Patrol photo becomes;
http://206.241.31.141/ImageCache/Cus...ien_5fdash.jpg
"img screen" is not required .. after copying the address, paste it into the posting window, highlight it and click Img ..the next to the last box aboveQuote:
