Donald Trump is attending an event about immigration hosted by Shalli Kumar, the head of the Republican Hindu Coalition, in New Jersey next Saturday.

“As someone who immigrated to this country and lived the American dream, I respect Mr. Trump’s business success and can-do attitude,” Kumar stated in a press release, adding:

"There is no question in my mind that Mr. Trump will stimulate the economy by reducing taxes and regulation, cutting the debt and providing fiscal discipline. He will bring a business sense to Washington, D.C. I have also had discussions with Mr. Trump about foreign policy and I know that he loves India, has great respect for the Hindu people, and will take a firm stand in the war against Islamic terror. The Hindu community will mobilize behind Trump in part because of Hillary’s weakness in the war on terror and her connections to those involved in Pakistani terror. Trump will be the greatest President for India that we have ever seen."

Trump will speak at the “Humanity United Against Terror” event with other speakers from Bollywood including: Malaika Arora, Manasvi Mamgai, Prabhu Deva, and Ram Charan.

Trump-backer Shalli Kumar, the founder of the Republican Hindu Coalition, on Monday ripped mainstream Republicans who bailed on the nominee after a tape of 11-year-old lewd comments about women was revealed last week.

In vowing to spend $5 million to help Donald Trump and go forward with this weekend's Humanity United Against Terror event with Trump, the prominent Indian-American business tycoon also blasted Hillary Rodham Clinton for demonization the female "victims" of her husband.

In a statement to Secrets, he praised Trump's Sunday debate performance, then hit Republicans and Clinton.

"Donald Trump demonstrated that he has a quality his Republican critics have lacked for years: guts. He took responsibility for his comments from more than a decade ago and pushed forward on issues that really matter to the American people, and especially to the American Hindu community especially: jobs, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and the perils of radical Islamic terror," said the Chicago businessman.

Targeting Clinton, he said, "By aiding and abetting her husband's sexual misconduct and demonizing his victims, Hillary Clinton has done far worse to American women than Donald Trump has ever been accused of."

Then he ripped the GOP mainstream. "This weekend some elected Republicans have proven why they are fair-weather friends and why they lack the trust and faith of their own voters. By bailing on their presidential nominee when the mainstream media demanded it, they don't have the courage of their convictions and they don't keep their word. The Hindu and Indian communities stand by our friends, especially when it's hard, and we are doubling down on our determination to elect Donald J. Trump the next president of the United States."

His comments came after House Speaker Paul Ryan said he would no longer defend Trump's comments.

Kumar said that tickets to the October 15th "Humanity United Against Terror" featuring Donald Trump and stars from Bollywood surged. "I look forward to joining thousands of Hindu Americans in welcoming Mr. Trump next weekend," he said.
