Mass: Democrat Thug Assaults Weekly Standard Reporter
Assailant Was a Coakley Staffer on Loan from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee?
Or just a really good lookalike?
BY John McCormack
January 13, 2010 2:15 AM
A tipster tells me that the man who was pushing me outside of a Capitol Hill fundraiser Tuesday night for Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Martha Coakley is Michael Meehan.
Meehan heads up a firm called Blue Line Strategic Communications along with his partner David DiMartino, who was outside the fundraiser with Coakley tonight and introduced himself to me there. The AP reported on Monday that Meehan is also working for Coakley: "The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee also dispatched Michael Meehan, a media consultant with ties to Massachusetts, to assist the Coakley camp with messaging."
Though I can't say with 100 percent certainty, I think that Meehan is the man who shoved me into a metal railing Tuesday night.

Democratic operative Michael Meehan, who was involved in a scuffle with Weekly Standard reporter John McCormack, released a statement to the Boston Herald Wednesday afternoon.
"Last evening I was a little too aggressive in trying to help the Attorney General get to her car and catch a flight," Meehan said in reference to shoving McCormack after he asked Martha Coakley a string of questions.
“I clearly did not intend to cause John McCormack to trip and fall over that low fence. As the video shows and he confirms in his blog, I stopped to help him up and make sure he was OK," Meehan continued. "I talked with Mr. McCormack this afternoon and apologized for my part.â€

Typical left-wing thug.
If this had been someone with a Republican or any conservative candidate, it would have made very headline in every liberal based media outlet, which is almost all of them.
Just another incidence of how far they are willing to go to get what they want."In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, For then it costs nothing to be a Patriot." Doesn't explain why Meehan kept getting in McCormack's face and personal space the entire time. How was that helping Coakley get to her plane on time?
