    I voted no--need officers.

    Now I don't care if those officers come in the form of volunteers, US soldiers, Border Patrol or regular Police.

    A fence would be better, though. It would stop people from driving and walking across quite so easily. Plus it would be pretty obvious WHERE the people came across so that the patrol in that area could be beefed up.

    We have concertina wire on top of a pretty LOW fence around some of our post offices to keep the punks from stealing the post office vehicles and breaking into the building. So evidently concertina wire isn't a big problem, either.

    OHHHH! I didn't realize there was a poll on awcus.org about jobs. Of course I said not enough progress is being made to save American jobs.

    Probably just a plain no is a more appropriate answer. But I do think that if we had the agents the president promised they could do a lot better job.

    I heard on the local news tonight that New Mexico is going to get 175 new Border Patrol agents. I wonder if those are 175 of the 200 El Paso sector was supposed to have got. LOL
