Unauthorized Immigrant Population Profiles
Unauthorized Immigrant Population Profiles
Learn about the estimated 11 million unauthorized immigrants living in the United States. Where do they live? When did they arrive in the United States, and from which origin countries? What are their levels of education, top industries of employment, incomes, parental and marital status, health care coverage, and more? And how many are potentially eligible for relief from deportation via deferred action? This unique data tool, using 2010-14 American Community Survey data, provides detailed sociodemographic profiles for the United States, 41 states (plus the District of Columbia), and 121 counties with the largest unauthorized populations. And for topline estimates of unauthorized immigrant populations for 170 counties, click on the spreadsheet at right.

Notes: 1) The Migration Policy Institute's estimates use commonly accepted benchmarks from other research studies to determine the size of the unauthorized population. These estimates have the same sampling and coverage errors as any other survey-based estimates that rely on American Community Survey (ACS) and other Census Bureau data. 2) Totals may not add up due to rounding. Sources: Migration Policy Institute (MPI) analysis of U.S. Census Bureau data from the 2014 American Community Survey (ACS), 2010-14 ACS pooled, and the 2008 Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP) by James Bachmeier of Temple University and Jennifer Van Hook of The Pennsylvania State University, Population Research Institute. Acknowledgments & Methodology James Bachmeier and Colin Hammar at Temple University analyzed the data on legal status of immigrants that provide the basis for these estimates. Jennifer Van Hook at The Pennsylvania State University advised in developing the methodology. Congratulations everyone!! What an amazing victory earlier today for Donald Trump, his family, his campaign, and the citizens of the United States!!!
Please see link below for current election results. Trump has won the electoral college, but is trailing in the popular vote now after the California vote was counted. After all these years, we still need the Electoral College to provide the balance against corruption and massive immigration.
Our Founders were very smart people. We owe them our gratitude because without their concept of the Electoral College in our Constitution, Donald Trump would probably not be our next President, and we would not have been able to save our nation.
