Morones was one of the representatives of a selected group of hispanic leaders that talked behind closed doors on Sunday with senator Obama and on Monday asked questions to senator McCain.

"To both we propoposed as an absolute priority to promote a humane comprehensive immigration reform bill in their first year of presidency and to present that proposal on the first 100 days of Government", he revealed.

Then, "we ask them to stop theimmigrants raids as soon as they take the presidency, and, in the case of senator McCain, we were more specific in which that measure could be enacted through executive order".

"And our third priority was to ask them that to assume real commitments with the Hispanic minority appointing Hispanics in their Cabinet", said Morones mentioning the name of the Governor of New Mexico, Bill Richardson: "It would be a good sign to the community that he was secretary of state or had a high ranking post in his government".
