Thread: Rep. Dave Brat: Sen. Jeff Sessions a ‘Good Man’ Who Will Survive the Left’s Attacks

Rep. Dave Brat (R-VA) praised President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for attorney general, Sen. Jeff Sessions, to Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Raheem Kassam on Monday, saying, “I’ve known him ever since I got to D.C., which is just a couple years ago, and he has been a true friend to me. He’s personally helped me out. He’s a warm human being.”

Brat acknowledged there will be “a ton of opposition” to Sessions on Capitol Hill this week, adding, “It’s just a matter of whether it stays professional and on policy or if it verges down into the gutter and they start getting personal.”

“It turns out, now,” said Brat, “some of the folks they’ve been using against him are actually going to sit in defense of him when he goes in front of the committee. It’s almost humorous how the Left operates, but he’ll come through because he’s a good man. He’s doing the right thing.”
