Report from William Gheen 4/27/05
Friends of ALIPAC:
I will have to make this brief. It is hard to explain all that is going on right now. If things slow down, we will have to restructure ALIPAC to handle the new demands put on us from the press and the public. The emails are rolling in and the phone ring and ring.
We are overwhelmed with concerned citizens, reporters, and producers, and police officers, and lawmakers that want more information or assistance.
Here's where things are at.
We are scheduled to be on the G. Gordon Liddy show tomorrow, Thursday at 12:30 or 12:35 EST unless some major news bumps us. I will be on the air along with ALIPAC's Lobbyist Mr. Jim Lafferty. I will do an email alert announcement tonight.
Greenville's town meeting went very well with over 60 people attending. We had several elected officials and representatives from the Pitt Co. Sheriff's dept and Greenville Police attending. Several new supporters and volunteers signed up and the press was very responsive on all fronts.
Thursday night's meeting in Rocky Mt. will be held at 7:15 pm at the Braswell Memorial Library. Please call anyone you know in the area and encourage them to attend. Several members from the law enforcement community plan to attend this meeting as well as they are interested in information regarding community safety and this issue.
USA today is writing a story with ALIPAC in it, not sure when it will run. Several other newspapers have called and those stories will run soon as well.
In NC, Elon University has floated a bogus poll trying to claim that most NC residents support in-state tuition for illegal aliens. What a sick joke. We are tracking 5-6 online polls that all show 90% opposed. Anyone else smell a rat here?
The supporters of illegal aliens and the in-state tuition bill are becoming more desparate and therefore more agressive.
So many of you have worked so very hard and I can't thank everyone enough. Please keep up the good fight.
We must expand our capabilities soon as to meet the growing demands on our organization.
William Gheen
President, ALIPAC

Great to hear the update! You've worked long and hard, things are changing thanks to you and other hard workers (like the Minutemen!). Hang in there!
