Any local updates from Arizona and Oklahoma? Elsewhere?

looking for local resident input on whether you think the laws in Arizona / Oklahoma are working - have illegals left? large numbers?

Reports say they are leaving in large numbers but its
still way to early to tell what is going to happen

It all depends on enforcement of these laws , If the states
are serious , then it will make a difference

I don't look for any enforcement action for 90 - 120 days. I suspect the states want to open, with an iron clad case. Hopefully they dot thier (i)s and cross their (t)s, so their initial cases are a slam dunk.

I wouldn't be surprized to see the law challenged, in court, before we see enforcement action, in court.

They have DEFINITELY left Oklahoma by large numbers-----thousands!!!

A lot have left Arizona, but not enough yet----the laws just went into effect the beginning of this month!!

It has already been challenged in court twice (at least, in Arizona).

The Oklahoma laws have been challenged at least 3 times in court.

I hate saying this, but the economy, especially california's, could be the perfect storm to get rid of illegal immigrants.

You may be right stealthwii, with California billions in debt, they cannot absorb more illegals. I pray it's so and we can start enforcing the laws!

    Probably!!!

No state has been more welcoming to illegals than California!!!

Florida is almost just as bad!!

Normally I would agree with you guys re:Calif economy may lure illegals away, however that hasn't stopped them before. They're still welcomed. You have to understand half the state legislature and the latino legislature wants and needs these people to survive politically. No one is deported, heck not even the illegals in our jails. I don't know, I hope you guys are right.
