    Romney

Native-born Americans can obtain certified copies of birth certificates to prove their birth in the United States.

Naturalized citizens can present citizenship papers that would demonstrate their status as American citizens.

Gov. Romney's proposal has nothing to do with RealID.

yup, we're on the precipice of a "choice" between McCain/Hillary/Obama -- all open borders fanatics -- and we're arguing about Romney's plan. Sad.
When the house is on fire we shouldn't be arguing about what color wallpaper we want in the kitchen. Let's put out the fire and then we can quibble about that.

We need to unite against McCain, Hillary and Obama now or one of them will definitely be President, not quibble over details that can and will be worked out later after much debate in Congress. IMHO, Pinestraw's objection is legitimate and shared by many, but it is a detail that can be debated and voted on at a later time, like the wallpaper in my analogy.

I agree!...Looks like the next president is going to be one that will grant amnesty! We're done as a nation. La Raza wins! Mexico wins! The American people are just plain stupid!

Then citizens will be required to prove their eligibility to work, too. And they'll be required to do it with the SAME 'biometric ID'.

Why do you not SEE this???

Bush has been trying to grant amnesty for YEARS and hasn't been able to do it YET! What makes you think any of these other losers will be able to accomplish the feat?

    This says it all.

    Quote:
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- While President George W. Bush has maintained neutrality among contenders for the Republican presidential nomination, he privately expresses to friends his exasperation with Mitt Romney's hard-line stance on immigration.

Bush is upset that Romney changed his position on the issue, compared to what it had been when he was governor of Massachusetts, at the expense of the president's immigration reform. Bush and Sen. John McCain are not close, but the president is grateful for McCain's support on Iraq and immigration.

A footnote: The president's younger brother, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, has not endorsed any presidential candidate. But he and his political allies were behind Romney's losing effort in last Tuesday's Florida primary.

Funny how this thread went from Romney's immigration plan to Romney's list of endorsements...

You can't seem to stay on topic in your own thread, what's up with THAT?
