    Indian Givers or Liars?

I always hear our "pals" from south of the border complaining that America stole their land? Here is a bit of history that I guess our Mexican friends forgot about. When you sell something to someone that is not stealing. When you try to take it back without paying it is commonly referred to as theft.

HOW THE U.S. ACQUIRED THE SOUTHWEST TERRITORIES FROM MEXICO

The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was the peace treaty that ended the Mexican-American War (1846–184.

The treaty provided for the Mexican Cession, in which Mexico ceded 1.36 million km² (525,000 square miles) to the United States in exchange for USD$15 million.

The United States also agreed to take over $3.25 million in debts Mexico owed to American citizens. The cession included parts of the modern-day U.S. states of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Wyoming, as well as the whole of California, Nevada, and Utah.

The remaining parts of what are today the states of Arizona and New Mexico were later ceded under the 1853 Gadsden Purchase.

The treaty was signed by Nicholas P. Trist on behalf of the United States and three plenipotentiary representatives of Mexico on February 2, 1848, at the Villa of Guadalupe (today Gustavo A. Madero, D.F.), slightly north of Mexico City.

It was subsequently ratified by the United States Senate on March 10 and by the Mexican government on May 19; the countries' ratifications were duly exchanged on May 30, 1848, at the city of Santiago de Querétaro.

Most of those people are uneducated and know little or nothing about history. They also don't want to know. They are thieves. They steal everything they can.

Truth doesn't matter in this travesty - law doesn't matter to our government.

Mexican citizens, illegal aliens, and the pro-illegals need to face the true fact that the American Southwest belongs to the United States of America, period

They are taught this trash in their OWN SCHOOLS in Mexico--I have SEEN some of THEIR HISTORY books! And being literate and fluent in SPANISH MYSELF, I was ALARMED (although I probably should NOT have been!) that Mexican children and perhaps those in other Latino nations are being deceived OUTRIGHT by such FALSE teaching! REGARDLESS, when I encounter racist Mexicans and their DUMDUM American and foreign supporters who say that the SOUTHWEST part of OUR country IS Mexico, I reply, "NO way, Jose--NO WAY!" If they insist otherwise, I tell them off thusly: "NO verde, NI blanco, NI rojo para MI! NO ayer, NI hoy, NI manana, NI NUNCA JAMAS! NO era mexicana, NO soy mexicana, y NUNCA JAMAS sere mexicana! Soy AMERICANA PARA SIEMPRE, y SOLO el ROJO, BLANCO, Y AZUL para MI! O QUERIDO rojo, blanco, y azul, SIEMPRE PUEDA YO a DIOS y a USTED ME QUEDA VERDADERO!"--which means, "NO green, white, and red for ME! NOT yesterday, NOT today, NOT tomorrow, NOT EVER! I WAS NEVER Mexican, I AM NOT Mexican, and I NEVER WILL BE Mexican! I AM AMERICAN FOREVER, and ONLY the RED, WHITE, and BLUE for ME! Oh, DEAR red, white, and blue, may I EVER to GOD and to THEE REMAIN TRUE!"

The Southwest wasn't Mexican land before 1848 either! It was controlled and owned by Indians along with a few Americans and Californios (Spainards in California). When Mexico defeated Spain in Central Mexico, the Spanish army and administrators left the Southwest. Mexico sent almost nobody to replace them! Indians took back much of their land, in California the lack of government led the Americans and Californios to form the Bear Flag Republic! No Mexican Army opposed any of them.

Just stamping the name "Mexico" on a map of the Southwest did not make it their land.

I've heard that most Latin American countries roll their eyes at Mexico's false claim on the American Southwest.
