    Sears in Riverside, CA

I went to sears today to have the tires rotated on the car. I decided to wait for the car so I went into the store to look around. There were three announcements over the loud speaks all three were in Spanish.

Before leaving the store I sought out the offices. I walked in and very nicely told the gal, "I was shopping in your store and heard 3 announcements all in Spanish since I don't speak Spanish I am unable to determine what it is you are selling so I guess I won't be spending my money here."

Turned around and walked out. And it felt GREAT!!!

Iansmom, Sears is doing the same thing in the Towngate Mall in Moreno Valley CA.
I was in there a few months ago and every announcement that came over the PA was in
Spanish. I was a little worried at first because a few years ago when I was in that very
store they announced that everyone would have to evacuate the store due to a fire alarm.
    They announced that in English.

Well, when I heard the announcements this time in Spanish I looked around to see if anyone was
leaving the store, wondering if this was a fire alert too. Since no one left I assumed it wasn't.

A few years ago when I went into that store (SEARS - Moreno Valley) the boys department had
all the mannequins dressed in T-shirts that said Team Mexico across the front of them. I stopped
using my Sears card and stopped shopping there except for getting my Kenmore vacuum belts/bags
when I can't find them elsewhere.

Today I saw a brand new billboard on the street for either Allstate Insurance or Farmer's
Insurance (I believe it was Allstate?) and the entire ad was in Spanish. That's the first time
I've seen that here. I was driving and couldn't stop, but I plan to photograph it and
complain big time to that company.

We truly need to boycott these businesses. Everyone needs to really band together
and hit them where it hurts like we did with B of A.

Same for SEARS here in Falls Church, VA. Spanish announcements on the loudspeaker, Spanish models in the photographs, spanish on the signeage all over the store. It prompted me to write a letter online to their main customer service dept.

I remember when my grandma would talk about how they used the Sears catalog for toilet paper in their outhouses. Maybe we ought to do the same now w/ their catalog!

Don't know about good old JCpenney, if they have gone the way of illegals or not.

It's funny, but I don't see that type of pandering in themajor upscale department stores ... I guess they still want to market to the rich elite segment of the population ...leave Sears to the illegals.

And forget about you middle class Americans ...you can share SEARS with the illegals, too!

When I passed a billboard, all in Spanish, by Wachovia Bank thanking their customers, I went back with my camera, took a picture, and visited the Bank with the picture printed out and my withdrawal slip to close my account. I left the picture with the bank employee to pass on to her supervisors as to why I will no longer be doing business there.

She said that they also have many billboards in English. I reminded her that if you are not part of the solution - then you are the problem. While the upper management of that bank are rich elite, what kind of country is she helping to create for her children, and mine? I know it impacted her and hope she will consider being more of an activist at this outrage.

    love the stories!

I try hard not to buy anything from China and I avoid all stores that pander to illegal immigrants.

Penny's is just as bad. I sent them an email in December complaining. Here is a copy of their response:

    contact us.
Comments and criticisms from our customers call these matters to our
attention and enable us to take corrective action. They are forwarded to
the proper department for further investigation. The information
provided is a great help toward increasing the satisfaction of all
    JCPenney customers.
We realize no apology we make can compensate for your disappointment and annoyance. We look forward to serving you more satisfactorily in the
    future.

    Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,
