Rudy Giuliani Says He's Voting for Donald Trump

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani says he's voting for Donald Trump when New York holds its Republican primary contest later this month.

"I support Trump. I'm gonna vote for Trump," Giuliani told the New York Post.

Giuliani, who ran for president unsuccessfully in 2008, had spoken favorably of Trump's candidacy earlier in the cycle, and the Washington Post reported in February that the former mayor has been informally advising the GOP frontrunner.

"It's an honor to have Rudy Giuliani supporting Mr. Trump in his campaign," campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said.

"Trump is a negotiator. He negotiates from a high bar to get people's attention. Threatening to withdraw from NATO will get a better deal with NATO," Giuliani said in the interview announcing his intention to support the real estate mogul.

Giuliani predicted that Trump could get "70 to 80" of the state's 95 delegates during New York's April 19 contest, giving him "a good shot" of reaching the 1,237 number needed to clinch the GOP nomination.

Earlier Thursday, the campaign of Republican rival Ted Cruz shot down reports that Cruz and Giuliani had scheduled a meeting for the day.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is voting for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump during the New York primary on April 19.

“I support Trump. I’m gonna vote for Trump,” Giuliani stated, The New York Post reported on Thursday.

Giuliani predicted Trump should get more than 50 percent of the vote in the New York GOP primary.

“It’s a question of how much he gets over 50 percent. If he wins 70 to 80 delegates, Donald has a good shot of securing the 1,237 delegates to secure the nomination before the convention,” Giuliani explained of the 95 New York delegates up for grabs.

“It’s New York City. We’re family. I can make fun of New York. But you can’t!” Giuliani said of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)’s New York values jab. “I know he was attacking liberal Democratic values … I know. I fought to change those policies in areas like welfare reform and policing, as did Mike Bloomberg. … There was a better way to say it.”

No he wasn't. That isn't true Rudy. When you don't have something honest to say, just don't say anything. He was attacking Trump by attacking New York, and when people like Cruz attack you on your values, it's because they believe in error that they are somehow superior to you. He wasn't talking about poor people or welfare reform, he was talking about people like Donald Trump, because that's who he was attacking. He was attacking Trump on his money, his success, his straight talk, his love for our country, and an open mind on women's rights and gay marriage. Trump is everything Cruz hates, because he's everything Cruz wants to be but isn't and won't ever be because he doesn't have what it takes. Cruz could be a two term President and still wouldn't be 1/4 the man Donald Trump is just running his business and not in 8 years of running the federal government wouldn't leave so much as a mark while the world is covered with the marks of Donald Trump and will always be while Trump would leave so many marks that improve our country and straighten out the world, we wouldn't even be able to list them all.

Trump will be the greatest President ever. He will bring order out of chaos. He will straighten out our country and by doing so will straighten out the world which in return will US the peace and cordiality we all want, deserve and expect.
