Thread: Kerry: World Leaders ‘Shocked’ By 2016 Presidential Race — It’s An ‘Embarrassment’

Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Secretary of State John Kerry said the shock and questions he is getting from world leaders about the 2016 presidential race are an “embarrassment to our country.”
Partial transcript as follows:

DICKERSON: In response to the Brussels bombing from the Republicans we’ve gotten series of things. More talk about banning Muslim immigrants, surveying Muslim immigrants and waterboarding. You deal with people overseas does that seem circus of campaigning or any way which that rhetoric has any affect overseas?

KERRY: Everywhere I go, every leader I meet, they ask about what is happening in America. They cannot believe it. I think it is fair to say that they’re shocked, they don’t know where it’s taking the United States of America. It upsets people’s sense of equilibrium about our steadiness and reliability. To some degree I must say to you some of the questions the way they are posed to me clear to me that what is happening is an embarrassment to our country.

Gee, I wonder how world leaders felt when Clinton was impeached for perjury over a sex scandal, perjury, interns and a blue dress with a sperm stain still on it? Were they "shocked"? Or how about the Clinton II email scandal, FBI investigations into classified information and a grand jury being called? Does that affect their "equilibrium"? Were you "embarrassed" during the Clinton sex scandal? Are you "embarraseed" by the pending criminal charges against Hillary? Somehow I think world leaders can handle our election process or they can ignore it and spend their time and focus on something that actually concerns them.

What a hypocrite you are, John Kerry.
