    Constantly attacking Walker on issues unrelated to immigration aren't helping our cause. We need all candidates against illegal immigrant amnesty to do well. Trust me, for some (including myself) trump has plenty of his own problems that are outside the realm of immigration.

    All the Republican candidates have some problems that are outside the realm of immigration. That's why both Hillary and Bernie Sanders are beating all our candidates.

    You don't know what he did or didn't do on that job 35 years ago. He's done a lot of building since, perhaps you should divert your efforts from calling someone who has brought our issue to national attention and not only made it the Number One Issue of the 2016 Elections but the Issue of the 21st Century a "hypocrite" to finding some Trump immigration scandal of a more recent and proven character.

    Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker told Fox News on Monday he supports building a wall along the U.S-Mexico border and ending birthright citizenship, echoing GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s immigration plan.
    “Earlier in the year, I was on ‘Fox News Sunday’ and laid out what I thought we should do, which is secure the border, which means build the wall, have the technology, have the personnel to make sure it’s safe and secure,” he said, building on remarks he made in March.

    Walker also said he wanted to end birthright citizenship, echoing Trump’s immigration platform. Trump called for America to stop automatically granting U.S. citizenship to any child whose mother manages to break into the country and give birth.


    “This remains the biggest magnet for illegal immigration,” he wrote in his highly-detailed immigration reform plans geared to serve the interests of Americans, instead of foreigners. “By a 2:1 margin, voters say it’s the wrong policy, including

    Notorious Mexican drug lord El Chapo sent his wife, herself an anchor baby and daughter of another drug lord, to give birth to twins in California. In another example of an immigration success story, federal authorities knew exactly what El Chapo was planning but refused to stop his family form gaining a foothold in the U.S.

    As Breitbart News noted at the time:
    Thanks to Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy’s Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, El Chapo’s daughters will be able to petition for an unlimited number of relatives, real and fraudulent, to join them in the U.S. due to the law’s chain migration provisions. A fabulously wealthy clan of drug kingpins could easily work over U.S. immigration law to attain legal residence in the country, while milking the welfare state for all manner of benefits and tax credits. American citizens’ tax dollars would pay for the education of the cartel’s anchor babies.

    Americans can also thank Supreme Court Justice William Brennan for writing the majority opinion in the Plyler v. Doe (1982) case letting Mexico send its pregnant cartel beauties across the border. The 5-4 ruling forbids schools from withholding taxpayer funding that would go towards educating illegal alien children — and Brennan tacked on a footnote that declared, “No plausible distinction with respect to Fourteenth Amendment ‘jurisdiction’ can be drawn between resident aliens whose entry into the United States was lawful, and resident aliens whose entry was unlawful,” as bestselling conservative author Ann Coulter pointed out.


    The Fourteenth Amendment’s text: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside,” was, of course, meant to give American blacks citizenship after the Civil War. It’s been translated into allowing anyone in the world to con their way into U.S. citizenship with anchor babies and chain migration.

    Nearly one in 10 babies in the U.S. are children of illegal aliens: Approximately 350,000 to 400,000 children automatically become U.S. citizens every year. Democrats use birthright citizenship as a means to change demographics rather than voters’ minds.


    As Center for Immigration Studies legal policy analyst Jon Feere explained before Congress in April:
    Under the immigration enforcement priorities of the Obama administration, illegal immigrants who give birth to U.S. citizens have become low priorities for deportation. Furthermore, the president’s DAPA program, the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents program, currently held up in court would provide benefits to illegal immigrants who gave birth here and allow them to ‘stay in the U.S. without fear of deportation.’ The broad interpretation of the Citizenship Clause forms the basis for these policies.

    Some Republicans, led by Trump, appear as though they are beginning to grasp how immigration policy is used to loot the middle class and disenfranchise Republican voters.

    You're just getting picky now. Of course he knows we don't have a national mandatory E-Verify law. I'm sure he is implying that we should. Geez, I thought the news that he supports E-Verify, ending birthright citizenship, and a border fence/wall would make you happy. Just because you jumped the Trump bandwagon doesn't mean you can't support another candidates position on illegal immigration and border security.

    Alabama
    HB 56 (Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act) - Passed in 2011, HB 56 is regarded as many as the nation's toughest immigration enforcement law passed at the state level. HB 56 requires all businesses, public and private, to begin using E-Verify by April 2012. The penalty for businesses not complying with the E-Verify mandate is a suspension of its business license.
    Arizona
    HB 2779 (Arizona Fair and Legal Employment Act) - Passed in 2007, HB 2779 prohibits employers from knowingly hiring undocumented workers and requires all employers to use E-Verify, effective January 1, 2008. It was followed up in 2008 with HB 2745, which prohibits government contracts to any businesses not using E-Verify, effective May 1, 2008.
    California
    AB 1236 - In October, 2011, Gov. Jerry Brown signed AB1236 into law. The law prohibits state municipalities from passing mandatoy E-Verify ordinances.
    Colorado
    HB 1343 - Passed in 2006, HB 1343 prohibits state agencies from entering into contract agreements with contractors who knowingly employ illegal aliens and requires prospective contractors use E-Verify to ensure legal work status of all employees. In 2008, SB 193 was passed requiring contractors with state contracts to use E-Verify. The effective date for SB 193 is August 6, 2008.
    Georgia
    SB 529 - Passed in 2006, SB 529 requires public employers, contractors and subcontractors with 500 or more employees to participate in E-Verify for all new employees, effective July 1, 2007. Public employers, contractors and subcontractors with more than 100 employees (but less than 500) must use E-Verify on or before July 1, 2008 and public employers, contractors and subcontractors with fewer than 100 employees must use E-Verify on or before July 1, 2009.

    HB 87 - Passed in 2011, HB 87 requires all private businesses with more than 10 employees to use E-Verify. The phase-in began on July 1, 2011 and runs through July 1, 2013.
    Idaho
    Executive Order - In May, 2009, Gov. Butch Otter signed an executive order requiring all state agencies and contractors to use E-Verify if they wanted a share of the state's $1.24 billion from the economic stimulus bill. In December 2006, Governor Jim Risch also issued an executive order, with immediate effect, requiring that state agencies participate in the E-Verify system.
    Illinois
    HB 1774 - HB 1744 bars Illinois companies from enrolling in any Employment Eligibility Verification System until accuracy and timeliness issues are resolved. Illinois also enacted HB 1743, which creates privacy and antidiscrimination protections for workers if employers participating in E-Verify don’t follow the program’s procedures. On August 24, 2009, Illinois enacted S1133 prohibiting the state or localities from requiring employers to use an employment eligibility verification system.
    Indiana
    SB 590 - Passed in 2011, SB 590 requires state and local agencies and state and local contractors to use E-Verify. The bill also require private employers to use E-Verify in order to qualify for certain tax credits on their state income taxes.
    Louisiana
    HB 342/HB 646 - Passed in 2011, HB 342 requires all state and local contractors to use E-Verify. HB 646 requires private employers to either use E-Verify or check multiple forms of identification from the new hire, which must be kept on file. The bill states that employers that chose to use E-Verify to check the status of new hires have acted in "good faith" and are protected from prosecution.
    Michigan
    HB 4355 - Offered by Rep. David Ogema, HB 4355 would require that state and local government offices, and agencies that refer employees to those offices, verify new hires through E-Verify.
    Minnesota
    Executive Order - In January 2008, Governor Tim Pawlenty issued an executive order effective, January 29, 2008, stating that all hiring authorities within the executive branch of state government as well as any employer seeking to enter into a state contract worth in excess of $50,000 must participate in the E-Verify program. The executive order expired 90 days after Pawlenty left office.

    Emmer Amendment - In February, 2009, Rep. Tom Emmer offered and the State House approved an amendment requiring the mandatory use of E-Verify for anyone receiving funds from a $1 billion stimulus bill.
    Mississippi
    SB 2988 - Passed in 2008, SB 2988 requires public and private employers to participate in E-Verify with full participation by July 2011.
    Missouri
    HB 1549 - Passed in 2008, HB 1549 requires all public employers to use E-Verify. If a court finds that a business knowingly employed someone not authorized to work, the company’s business permit and licenses shall be suspended for 14 days. Upon the first violation, the state may terminate contracts and bar the company from doing business with the state for 3 years. Upon the second violation, the state may permanently debar the company from doing business with the state.
    Nebraska
    L 403 - Passed in 2009, LB403 requires state and local governments and contractors to use E-Verify effective October 1, 2009. The bill also includes incentives for private employers to use E-Verify.
    North Carolina
    SB 1523 - Passed in 2006, SB 1523 requires all state agencies, offices, and universities to use E-Verify. The law applied to all employees hired after January 1, 2007 except for local education agencies which was March 1, 2007.

    HB 36 - Passed in 2011, HB 36 requires all employers with more than 6 employees to use E-Verify. The phase-in period begins in October 2012 and runs through July 2013. Seasonal workers are not required to be verified through E-Verify.
    Oklahoma
    HB 1804 (Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act) - Passed in 2007 and made effective on November 1, 2007, HB 1804 requires public employers, contractors and subcontractors to participate in E-Verify and requires income tax withholding for independent contractors who do not have valid Social Security numbers.
    Pennsylvania
    HB 738 - Offered by Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, HB 738 requires all employers in Pennsylvania to use E-Verify.
    Rhode Island
    Executive Order - In March 2008, Governor Carcieri issued an executive order requiring executive agencies to use E-Verify; and for all persons and businesses, including grantees, contractors and their subcontractors and vendors to use E-Verify. Shortly after taking office in 2011, Gov. Lincoln Chafee rescinded Gov. Carcieri's executive order.
    South Carolina
    HB 4400 - Passed in 2008, HB 4400 requires the mandatory use of E-Verify for all employers by July 1, 2010. All public employers, private employers with more than 100 employees and public contractors with more than 500 employees were required to comply by January 1, 2009. All private employers must comply by July 1, 2009 and all other all businesses by January 1, 2010.
    Tennessee
    HB 1378 - Passed in 2011, HB 1378 requires all employers with at least 6 employees to use E-Verify. The phase-in begins in January 2012 and runs through January 2013. Companies that utilize legal guest workers do not have to use E-Verify.
    Utah
    SB 0251 - Passed in 2010, SB 0251 requires all employers with more than 15 employees to begin using E-Verify July 1, 2011. Companies that utilize legal guest workers do not have to use E-Verify.
    SB 81 - Passed in 2008 and made effective on July 1, 2009, SB 81 requires public employers, public contractors and subcontractors to E-Verify and makes it illegal to discharge a lawful employee while retaining an unauthorized alien in the same job category.
    Virginia
    HB 737 - Passed in 2010, HB 737 requires all state agencies to begin using E-Verify by December 1, 2012.

    HB 1859/SB 1049 - Passed in March 2011, the bill requires all state contractors with at least 50 employees and a contract worth at least $50,000 to use E-Verify.

    It sounds like Walker doesn't know that we don't have a mandatory E-Verify program for him to rely upon as his main focus of enforcing the law since there is no law.

    His focus will be enforcing the law, not deporting illegal aliens, by focusing on E-Verify. Well, today the only E-Verify law that exists applies only to the federal government and government contractors, so he has no national E-Verify law to focus on that will have any impact throughout the country. And although he says he supports ending birthright citizenship, he wouldn't answer the question about deporting children of illegal aliens. When asked he said "I didn't say that ..." and moves on to focusing on a law that doesn't exist and of course won't apply to children to begin with.

    And then when he was asked about ending birthright citizenship, he flips back to E-Verify again and solving "root problems" to solve the automatic birthright citizenship problem.

    So, Walker's solution or "plan" is to rely upon enforcement of a law that doesn't exist. Therefore, I don't believe he'll take any steps to deport illegal aliens, enforce US immigration law or end birthright citizenship of children of illegal aliens. All he is going to do is enforce a law that doesn't yet exist and put the "onus" on employers if there ever is one. So with that lackluster view of our problem, we'll all die of old age before he builds 1 foot of "wall".

    3 months ago, Scott Walker who has worked in government in one position or another since 1993, didn't even know enough about our country to know we had an illegal immigration problem and even now supports the TPP trade agreement.

    Trump on the other hand has been "bombasting" against illegal immigration and free trade treason for 35 years as a businessman.

    So, my personal feeling is that Trump will do more to solve illegal immigration, excess legal immigration and free trade treason than Scott Walker. Trump is doing well, but he still has a long way to go, because there are still so many candidates in the race splitting the polls, and Trump still has other issues to address. I'm not committed yet because of some of the other issues, but regardless of who I eventually commit to, our country will owe Donald Trump big time for making our issue the Number One Issue of the 2016 Elections and according to Pat Buchanan, The Issue of the Century.

    You're of course free to support Walker or any other candidate of your choice whenever and for any reason you choose, as are we all. Something you might want to keep in mind when you choose your words for posting on this forum.
