    Texas Minutemen Project!!

I know that there are a lot of Texans out there who have been hoping and looking for a Minutemen Project initiative in Texas.

It's here! I got an email today announcing the start-up:

Dear Americans of The Lone Star State,

Sandra Beene would like to hear from anyone who wants to participate in Texas border watches.

Sandra was an avid supporter of last April's Minuteman Project and was instrumental in the Project having a computer system at the communications and command center at that bible college camp we set up.

Please contact Sandra at keywestbeaner@yahoo.com if you are interested in her plans.

I am currently busy with the next phase of The Minuteman Project. Check in on the MMP website for an update.

By the way, anarchist threats continue to come in to me. I will devote the MMProject home page to the latest threat when the site gets updated tonight. I want viewers to actually see what kind of demented trouble-makers we have out there, whose only goal is to destroy (by any means necessary) The Minuteman Project.

Thanks for all of your support, Americans.

    For God and Country,

Jim Gilchrist - The Minuteman Project
Sandra called me today in response to my email to her. She's got a little more info she wanted me to add to my post here. There is a brand new under-construction website (homepage and guestbook only, for right now) at www.txminutemen.com. Sandra asks that everyone sign the guestbook and let her know how they're interested in helping out. As of yet, there is not a time or place scheduled for the next MMP in Texas. Everything is in early planning.

Texans - we've got a lot of ground to cover. We'll need a lot of people. Let's get to work!!

That's the tragedy. There is not a secure land border in this country.

Though we are safe from the Swedes.

    Heidi,

I have been working behind the scenes with the others of the "group" (no leader "yet") since the end of April. Yes, there is a LOT of things happening.

However, the Tx program will be 100% from the ground up. That will be a MUCH larger task than what happened in AZ.

In AZ, Simcox and other locals have been doing this for years, they had plans, and patterns. In TX at this time, we do not.

In AZ, there is LOTS of BLM and National Forest land. Public access for all. In TX there is not. There is a National park, but there is a pandora's box of issues when dealing with NP's (research Chris Simcox himself for an example). Thus for TX to work, we will probably need an invite from a large range, or several adjacent large ranches. Also, since it is private, the OBL's and others can presure the land owner (We saw that at the bible college), and the land owner might easily buckle. BLM land has none of these problems.

In AZ, there is open carry, and CCW (concealed carry with permit). In Tx, there is only a CCW. This is a pretty big difference.

In AZ, 60-70% of the population was gringo's and many (most) were friendly to the cause. In Tx (where were are looking), this is not the case. Most areas are high percentage of hispanic, and most are not too friendly.

In AZ, they did not have the Ranch Rescue issue, like they did in Tx. In TX civilians monitoring the border has had a significant black eye.

Othere than those few minor differences, the projects are still the same

Note, there will probably be little direct "representation" or leadership roles for either Simcox or Gilchrist in Tx. It is possible, but not likely.

NOTE there may not be a whole lot of public information posted about the TxMMP (or MMPTX, or whatever name it goes under), for a while. Possibly very little right up until the event happens. Only time will tell, but rest assured, things are happening.

    Husker.

I want to actively help out in any way possible, Husker. So tap me whenever you need me. If you're working behind the scenes, can you drag me into it? I am here and want to get to work!!

Also, what do you think of Gilchrist's apparent endorsement of Beene? I mean, he sent out a letter and all. Is she an administrative leader right now, as opposed to the official "head" of the Texas Project? Is Simcox doing something different from Gilchrist?

Gimme the scoop. I just wanna get to work.

Also, Sixx just posted an article. Have you seen that?

Keep us updated on the status, husker. I am especially interested in when they start taking volunteers.

I am not sure who is really in charge. There are 4 or 5 people right now. Sandra is one of them. She is setting up the web site (but nothing has changed for awhile). There is also a Yahoo group (which I dispise, since there are no threads and search is worthless).

At this time, I would strongly recommend you contact Sandra, if you already know her.

As for the post of Sixx, yes that press release went out. It is totally NOT part of the texas MMP people. As for Simcox and him representing TX, I will not address that issue in a public forum.

We are still not 100% sure that a large scale project is feasible in Tx. Like I mentioned, there is a WHOLE lot of different issues which were not a problem in AZ, but which might be major problems in TX.

However, some of the best people I met at the AZ event are part and parcel of this project, right now.
