I don't know if illegals are targeted, but Latinos are definately

The video says that they are targeting Latinos since there aren't enough
jobs for these students. Most of the young men in the video appear
to be "anchor babies" from the last amnesty. Not that these Latinos are
babies--the video shows them to be committed young men (many of them
dead, now). This video is a severe contrast to the Day Laborer young men
we see on YouTube videos.

The Selective Service System doesn't recruit. However, like this says, almost all males between 18 and 25 living in the US are required to register with them. That does include illegal aliens, refugees, etc., and under the right circumstances they could be drafted.

The key thing we need to remember here is

You want to protect yourself for future U.S. citizenship and other government benefits and programs by registering with Selective Service.

Immigration law disqualifies aliens from citizenship if they haven't registered for Selective Service prior to their 26th birthday. It also screws them out of college federal financial aid among a couple of other things.

This is something we should keep in mind should some kind of amnesty get passed. Before they start handing out citizenships we need to jump up and say what about the ones over 25, did they register for Selective Service??

Here is something else this is often asked but I don't think anyone follows up. Drivers licenses, most states require registration with Selective Service for males under 26 prior to giving them a DL.

How many illegal alien males under 25 that received their licenses after 2003 have registered with Selective Service? Probably none....

There seems to be some confusion about who must register for selective service. Additionally there should be an understanding of what it means to register and what it means to be drafted.

Presently there is no draft. Registering does not mean they will be drafted or inducted.It's all volunteer.

I have seen news reports of illegal aliens who have served in the US Military.

Here also are some Selective Service fast facts. You will note that in some states registration is mandatory before receiving a drivers license. And there are also other adverse punishments for not registering.

Of course our country has now catapulted over the cliff and we are plunging into the abyss of chaos, anarchy, confusion, contradiction, hypocricy. City Mayors, and Governors, do whatever they want to.

Illegal aliens and their cohorts, handlers, supporters, aids and abetors, churches, employers are all above the law, immune. The Senate and Congress liberals reward unknown aliens favorably over natural American citizens. A world turned upside down and adrift in a vacuum of leadership.

To my knowledge the military does not recruit, nor does it enlist illegal immigrants. Please don't demean our military services or our country by suggesting such without supporting documentation. As a former Navy Officer Recruiter (4 years) and OIC of a military enlistment records processing division, I find what you're suggesting extremely offensive!

Well... my grandfather was a WWII veteran, I think he overstayed his visa.. as far as I know. I believe this is how he gained his citizenship.

I received my Selective Service Number in the mail when I applied for my Driver Licence. Here in FL, you must prove that you are a US resident (Temporary or Permanent greencard holder or residency stamp in your passport) or US citizen, so I don't know how the illlegal immigrants here can join the army or perhaps they don't even ask, you never know, but I don't know.

So basically it looks like illegal immigrants are not being recruited into the military. Registering for the Selective Service and actually being inducted are two very different things. Yes, Bush has made it possible for illegals to serve, but that's probably not going to happen unless a draft is inacted.

Honestly, does anyone really believe many illegals are going to show up at an inductee stations if drafted? Heck, a lot of them probably wouldn't even receive their draft notice because they routinely move without leaving a forwarding address.

Right now, this very minute, illegals are not being recruited or enlisted into our military services.

Back in the 50`s And 60`s men at a certain age received a notice in the mail telling them when and where they were to inlist for boot camp.
