Self-Deportation: Punish Landlords who rent to illegals

Many people say that we cannot deport 12-40 million illegals.

    Well, then, what about self-deportation?

I say that while focusing and punishing employers who hire illegals is a good plan, I also think that focusing on landlords who rent to illegals is also very important in orde to control illegal immigration.

If a man who sneaks across the Mexican border cannot find a place to live for himself, his wife, and his children, he might have to return to Mexico, or any other country south of the United States.
This volunteer return to Mexico would be a type of self-deportation. We won't have to go around putting illegals on buses and sending them back to Mexico.

Also, if a person south of the border is planning to sneak into the United States with his family right now, he might think twice about entering the United States illegally, if he knew he could not rent a place without providing the proper papers.

For instance, I suggest that landlords be required to verify social security cards. If the applicant is not yet a citizen and does not have a social security card, the landlord should ask for such papers as a passport, a green card, or a temporary visa.

Again, I suggest that renters should be required to provide a social security card when he applies for an apartment. This requirement, in my opinion, would help control illegal immigration. mirse

I see no problem in that. It does not turn a landlord into an "immigration enforcement officer" as Kennedy et al would like everyone to believe. It's sound paperwork. And if there's one thing Americans are familiar with, it's paperwork, thanks to our government. If you don't have proper credentials which indicate you are an American citizen, a properly documented immigrant worker or a legal visa holder...then no apartment for you.

Our government is not going to do that. It's too simple and practical.

It's happening in cities such as Escondido, Costa Mesa, Farmers Branch and of course, Hazleton PA. It's just the beginning folks!

You wait and see by next year, we'll see a major storm against the invaders and Americans will take our flag, our heritage and our nation BACK!

Is there anywhere we can find out how the laws are working where they have been enacted?

I have been getting conflicting reports. Some people say it is making no difference and some say the illegals are leaving the cities.

    Can we find out?
